And So It Begins - Baseball Season

And so it began! The beginning of baseball season. Lots and lots of baseball. Both boys were the black team this season. Ben was #11 and Nick was #12. Ben had a really good season, and a great coach. Nick had a 'learning season'. Grouping the 1st and 2nd graders together was rough this season for Nick's team. But he still had lots of fun!

Wicket went to a lot of baseball games this summer. She wanted a seat of her own!

Cub Scout Cross Over

The annual cub scout cross over at Camp Miakonda. Doing it a little different this year, we ended up inside the lodge. The weather was iffy (rain), so we stayed inside this year. The kids still had lots of fun in the mud outside, though. 

2nd Grade Field Trip To the Mud Hens

Nick's class went to a Mud Hens game for their end of the year field trip. I wasn't able to go with them, but he had a fun time! So many field trips at the end of the year!

Ben's 4th Grade Biography Project

In 4th grade, the kids do a biography on a famous Ohioan. Ben chose R.L. Stine. He was really into it and did a lot of research and worked hard on his poster. He did a good job and learned a lot!

A Spring Trip To the Zoo

We took a trip to the zoo to see the new baby polar bear. He is so cute! And we also fed the giraffes for the first time. It was a nice, quiet day at the zoo!

1st Communion Picnic

The 2nd grade classes has a picnic to celebrate 1st Communion. Unfortunately, they did not have good weather, at all, this year. It was bitter cold and the wind was really bad. The poor kids were freezing eating lunch. It warmed up a bit toward the end, doing the tug of war, but the kids were troopers, and had fun anyways! I was the hero of the day, bringing an entire box of hand warmers that were the saving grace for all the parents!

Putting The New Glasses To Work

Putting the new reading glasses to good use
