Halloween Parade - Ben's Last

The annual Halloween Parade - and Ben's last :(  He walked with his 1st grade buddy. Nick was also in the parade. I think it was the only time he actually wore the mask for his costume. 

2nd Grade Halloween Party

I am the room mom for Nick's class this year. We had a pretty successful Halloween party thanks to some great moms who helped out!

Visitors From NOLA

Aunt Sarah and Donnie came up to Ohio for a little fall fun. Unfortunately they got to experience Ohio fall weather, which wasn't so great, but we still made the most of it. We saw the lanterns at the zoo and hit up the apple orchard for some apple fritters and northern spy apples

Trunk or Treat

A little truck or treat to lift our spirits and celebrate Halloween. Nick was spiderman and Ben was a soccer player

Goodbye to the Best Little Elkhound, Monster Marie

It was with heavy hearts that Adam and I decided to say goodbye to Monster. She got sick. We didn't really find out what exactly happened, but she lost over 10 lbs and her mouth was white and she could barely walk. I think she started to get sick in June when she started eating the walls, but we couldn't figure out what it was. The boys were extremely upset, especially Ben :(  It was a really hard time for everyone. 

Wolves Camp Out

While the Webelos had Thanksgiving dinner, I hung out with Nick and Wolves at the camp site. In the rain. The kids had fun, though!

Webelos Cub Scout Camp Out

The Webelos had their campout at Oak Openings. One of their requirements was to cook dinner. Well, Adam couldn't let them do something so simple and boring as hot dogs or hamburgers. No, instead they cooked a Thanksgiving dinner, complete with turkey, baked potatoes and pineapple upside down cake. The boys fished and found salamanders while dinner was cooking. 

How Not to Blow Out a Candle

I had a new candle. I was burning it. Nick wanted to blow it out. How does one blow out a candle and singe their hair?!?! All the yellow stuff if burned hair. Ugh. And this is after I had started breaking some of it off. It was worse. 

Riverfront Candle

A new candle making stored opened up in Perrysburg this fall - Riverfront Candle. You mix your own scents. Jen and I went to check it out on their opening day - super fun thing to do!

Chicago Skyline - South Chicago

The view from my hotel next to the McCormick center in Chicago. It was a bit chilly, but a nice few days at a conference.
