We took a drive over to the Bonnet Carre spillway to check out the raging river and the water diversion. It was pretty cool to see. The boys were more interested in the fisherman pulling giant fish out of the water left and right.

A Walk Around The Swamp
A day walking around the swamp - the boys' favorite! I think we saw something like 18 alligators, a snake, a lot of caterpillars, and a nutria.

The Fly and Audubon Park
We took the streetcar up to Carrolton, got lunch to go, and headed to the Fly to watch the river and the ships, then over to Audubon park, where the books looked for fish, ducks and turtles.
St Charles Streetcar
The boys went on their first official streetcar ride up St Charles. They had fun and liked seeing the houses and big trees with beads!

Pinch the Tail, Suck the Head
Ben's first crawfish. He devoured a pound of them - some of them warm and some of the cold (blah!)
