A box and a child. And it was not a very big box - my new printer came in that box, and it has a much lower surface area than Nick. He put himself in there. We had to tip the box over to get him out, though. Silly...

My Cute Little Easter Bunny
He can be so cute, when he wants to be.
The concern for the candy was a little out of control. He even lined up his starbursts and counted them to make sure they were all there.

Some Post Egg Hunt Entertainment
After the egg hunt, there was a performer, of sorts. He is some kind of juggler/comedian/magician/physics defier. The kids loved him! And most of the parents thought he was very entertaining, too (at least the ones that were not called on for audience participation). Ben and Cameryn sat front row for the show. Nick was just concerned about the safety of his candy and sat on the side with me.
This mom sat on the guys shoulders with a hula hoop and was a human basketball backboard while the kids threw balls at her!
Then it was the dad/grandpa's turn. Lucky Kevin got nominated by his daughter to participate. Adam totally lucked out by having to take Nick to the bathroom. He owes Nick big time! So all the guys sat on chairs, then leaned back and the magician guy then removed all the chairs and they stayed in their leaning circle.
Then...to end the show, he created this giant jigsaw of folding chairs and then held them up with his mouth. This guy worked HARD! He was sweating as much as I do after zumba!
After the cool guy's show (I should try to figure out his name), the Easter Bunny made an appearance, but Ben and Nick (and Avery) avoided that like eating their vegetables. After some dancing and shenanigans, they had a raffle for some various prizes. And guess who won something - BEN! I didn't get a picture of it, but he won a chocolate fish. He was soooooo excited. It was all he talked about for 3 days.
A Fun Easter Egg Hunt at Church
The Knights of Columbus had an Easter Egg hunt for the kids at church on Palm Sunday. It was perfect timing as I needed something to entice the boys to be good through Palm Sunday mass. They set the church up into 3 different groups based on age and let them go at it! Once everyone had 11 eggs, they were allowed to get more. I'm not sure how many Ben and Nick ended up with, but it was quite a few and they all had little candy in them. Cameryn and Avery were there and Nick helped Avery find a few eggs. I don't think Ben helped anyone but himself ;)

Happy Birthday, Lily and Lucas!
Last Saturday we went to Lily and Lucas's birthday party. Lily turned 4 and Lucas turned 2 this week. The party was awesome! They had it in their church gym and it was fantastic! Tons of room, Susan did an awesome job at all sorts of activities and fun things - the boys loved it! The theme was bugs (like ladybugs and caterpillars). There was a 'bug toss' game, digging for bugs in the dirt, Ele-fun (catching butterflies), making your own caterpillars, sticker pictures and lots of yummy food! Thanks for letting us help celebrate your birthdays at such a cool birthday party!

A Soccer Machine!
Another Saturday, another soccer game. Ben is really enjoying soccer and I just signed him up for Spring outdoor soccer that includes 1 practice and 1 game per week. This game, Ben scored 3 goals and ran hard. Should be interesting to see what happens with outdoor soccer in a few weeks.
The closest Nick got to the playing this week. Just not his thing.

The Helicopter - A Daddy Toy
Adam was gifted a remote control helicopter by the neighbors for the one snow storm he was actually around for, for snow blowing their driveway and helping them out. It was a very, very nice gift and probably a bit much, but they insisted that we would get more use and fun out it than their son. So this helicopter has been sitting in the closet for 3 months, which has led to almost daily questions of when can we fly the helicopter. It was finally nice out last Friday, so Adam got it out. And then proceeded to crash it a few times. But it's pretty sturdy and with stood the 'breaking in'. The boys LOVE it! And of course daddy thinks its pretty fun too. I had fun taking pictures of it ;)
