Little Boo at the Zoo

Last Friday we went for our annual Little Boo at the Zoo. This year, daddy got to go with us! Thanks to my master ninja zoo skills, we were the first ones into the zoo, the first ones in the craft and games area and were pretty much done with the trick or treating stations before many people were in the zoo. We then went to see the crocodile, lizards, hippos, elephants, lion and tigers. While we were looking at the animals, the zoo started to get pretty busy. The lines for candy stations were getting long. I ran into someone who said they waited 40 minutes just to get into the parking lot! Adam appreciated my mad zoo-ing it skills!

Iron Man and Captain America!

Halloween 2013 Costumes. Grandma Mary made them again this year. Ben is Iron Man and Nick is Captain America. I think I will dress up as Black Widow for trick or treating. Maybe we can get Adam to be Hulk ;)

Play Time at Hero's

Last Friday I took the boys to Hero's, a party place in Perrysburg (more to come on that in February...). They have an open play time every Friday so we checked it out. They have a few bounce houses, a 'sandlot', a little carnival area and yummy pizza. Nick loves inflatables!

Peddle, Peddle, Peddle!

Nick is finally learning to ride his tricycle. This video is from a few weeks ago. He is much better now and can got all the way to the corner. I have no idea why he was peddling forward then backward constantly. It took almost a week before he started to only peddle forward.

Grocery Shopping in the Pantry

Going shopping for dinner in the pantry. I finally figured out how to put that shopping cart to good use!

A Day With Avery

Sharon had a sick day last week so Nick and I stayed home. Avery came over and hung out with us for the day, too! And it was a bea-u-ti-ful day! We walked to the pond to feed the fish, played outside, rode bikes and took good, long naps!

Snuggly With Mommy

After a long day of lots of outside time, it was time for a movie and snuggles on the couch.

A Hayride

Levis has hayrides every Saturday in the fall. Because we got rained out of our hayride at the pumpkin farm, we decided to let the boys do a hayride at Levis. The weather conditions were much better! The hayride took us around to see all the different bug sculptures.

The Bugs

Last Saturday, after some much needed naps, we headed over to Levis Commons for a party thing they were having for a Bug Invasion display they have for the month of October. We got there late, just a bit before a lot of the fun stuff was closing. But the boys had a few minutes to play on the inflatables. Nick loves inflatables - they allow for maximum air time and big jumps.

The Invasion display Levis has right now is a bunch of giant wooden bug sculptures throughout the center. Ben liked the spider. Note how he his making spider pinch gestures with his hands. There is also a dragonfly, ants, praying mantis, and a handful of others. They are actually pretty cool when you get up close and look at how the wood was used to create them.

Driving the Farm Tractors

Once again, the fan favorite of the pumpkin farm - the tractor bikes! They had a really cool tractor and motorcycle trike that the boys really liked.

The Pumpkin Patch

Last Saturday we headed over to pumpkin farm. It was kind of rainy but warm. After being there for about 20 minutes it started to rain really hard, but the boys still enjoyed it. They feed the goats and chickens, played in the hay maze, played in the gigantic corn box (like sand, but corn) and checking out all the pumpkins. Once we figured out that the rain was not going to let up we headed over to Maumee Bay State Park for lunch. The boys had fun over there, watching the birds while we ate lunch.
