We took a trip to the zoo to see the new baby polar bear. He is so cute! And we also fed the giraffes for the first time. It was a nice, quiet day at the zoo!

1st Communion Picnic
The 2nd grade classes has a picnic to celebrate 1st Communion. Unfortunately, they did not have good weather, at all, this year. It was bitter cold and the wind was really bad. The poor kids were freezing eating lunch. It warmed up a bit toward the end, doing the tug of war, but the kids were troopers, and had fun anyways! I was the hero of the day, bringing an entire box of hand warmers that were the saving grace for all the parents!

Party Time!
We celebrated Nick's 1st Communion with a small party at the house afterward. The beautiful and yummy GF cake was from So Many Somethings.

Nick's First Communion at St Rose. It was a great day! As one of the shortest boys in his class, we got front row seats!
