Disney Vacation '16: Rides of Magic Kingdom

We didn't get all the rides in at Magic Kingdom, but we definitely hit some highlights!

Nick and Aunt Sarah on the speedway cars. Nick was soooo excited to drive!

The (air conditioned) Carousel of Progress. The boys actually really liked it.

The Toy Story ride. It's actually a game and you shot your laser at targets as you go through the ride and earn points against your ride partner. Someone claims I 'cheated' while the ride was stopped for a few minutes. It wasn't my fault the ride stopped me right in front of a target!

Aladdin's flying carpet. The spitting camel was a fan favorite.

And of course the best - Space Mountain. Ben rode it two or three times.

Disney Vacation '16: Photo Ops around MK

Some photo ops around Magic Kingdom. Nick was into taking pictures at this point. His attitude dropped off later in the evening...

Disney Vacation '16: The Balyeat 7 Dwarfs

Sunday morning we did church in Celebration followed by brunch on the water in Celebration. After some pool time and down time, we hit the road, off to the Magic Kingdom and Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party! It was a halloween party, so we had to dress up! There are seven of us and seven dwarfs, so...We were the Balyeat 7 Dwarfs! We got a lot of compliments on the costumes. It was a little hot at 4pm in the direct sun, so not everyone wore theirs the entire time, but I think Ben did. He was very into his character.
Doc - Larry
Happy - Mary
Sleepy - Adam
Sneezy - Barb
Bashful - Sarah
Grumpy - Ben
Dopey - Nick

Disney Vacation '16: Our Little Lizard Friends

It is Florida, in the summer. Of course there are little lizards everywhere. And Ben was obsessed with them! He was determined to catch one and keep it for a pet. Well, Grandma came well prepared for such things with nets and bug houses. But in trying to catch this particular one, they cut off his tail! Poor little fella.

Disney Vacation '16: The Light Sabers

You didn't think we made it out of Disney Springs with no souvenirs, did you?  Not when there was a huge Star Wars store right as we walked in. All three boys built their own light sabers. It took quite some time to pick out all the components and put them all together, but oh, the joy!

Disney Vacation '16: Pool Time!

The house we rented had an awesome pool. The boys had lot of fun playing basketball and diving for rings. Ben learned to swim pretty well over the summer and is even swimming underwater now. He did pretty good at diving for rings. But they both loved 'slam dunking' the basketball.

Disney Vacation '16: Sprinkles Cupcakes

Nothing like some overpriced cupcakes to make your day better! We hit up the Sprinkles at Disney Springs for some dessert after our lunch at the Irish Pub. The boys (and I) had fun watching the 'professionals' frost cupcakes. And it make me realize, I could do that! They were some pretty delicious cupcakes!
