Checking out all the cool bugs at the Insectarium. The boys really liked all the bugs. And they got to see alligators since we didn't get to see any on our swamp adventure.

Swamp Adventure
We went looking for alligators in the swamp. And it was a really good day to find them, but alas, the tide was in and the water was stupid high and the path was washed out half way in. No alligators :( But still a nice walk on a beautiful day.

Bird Banding
Sunday morning the boys went out to the real swamp and did bird banding with Grandma. They got to see how the birds are caught and tagged and learned about some new birds. They also got really, really muddy.

Merry Christmas!
It was a great Christmas! The boys got exactly what they wanted - golf clubs, legos and ipads! And Nerf guns. And Star Wars (which we saw later that day)

Christmas Eve
Before heading to bed on Christmas Eve, Nick put out his reindeer food he made at school. He sprinkled it on the bushes and sidewalk for Santa's reindeer.
The tree and presents all ready for two boys to wake up!
Christmas Eve Dinner
Keeping with tradition, we went to Christmas Eve mass, followed by dinner at Superior Grill. Merry Christmas Margaritas! It was so nice out, we ate on the patio (without windows) and got mosquito bits.

Balyeat Ugly Christmas Sweater Dinner
Sarah decided we needed an ugly Christmas sweater tradition, so she ordered everyone sweaters. However, let's all note that Sarah's isn't exactly ugly...uh huh...
So then we all put on our sweaters and went to fried chicken night at the country club. Keeping it classy.
