A Thomas The Tank Engine 4th Birthday

Nick had a Thomas themed Wolny family birthday party. I made this cake based on a picture I found online. I thought it turned out pretty cool. Nick loved it, so that's all that mattered. That and it tasted good. 

He takes the most ridiculous pictures, sometimes...

And presents time - he got a soft hoodie blanket, lego plates, Spot It games and painting supplies. He was one happy little boy!

Wolny Cousins Snow Fun

We celebrated Nick's birthday with Eva and Elaina. The older kids had fun sledding and playing in the snow. It was a bit too windy out for me, so I took pictures from inside the house. 

Oh, Those Silly Polar Bears!

We may have gone to the zoo to see the spring gardens, but it was cold and the polar bears were loving it! The two females and male were together (not sure which were which). One was sleeping in the cave while the other two were gallivanting around. The one polar bear was itchy and just couldn't seem to get the right spot! I would also like to say those paws are about the size of Nick's head.

A Little Farm Related Crafting

At the zoo Spring Fling, they  had an exhibit sponsored by a farming organization. One of the stations was a soy bean necklace. You went down cotton, but the soy bean in a small plastic bag with the cotton and put it on a string around your neck. Your body heat makes the soy bean sprout. Nick loved it!

Another station was to paint with vegetables. Nick made a picture using a carrot, broccoli, potatoes and cauliflower 'paint brushes'.
