Due to a series of events, we ended up in Perrysburg for Christmas this year along with the Lewalk's and Grandma at our house. With 4 kids under the age of 5, Kevin and I had to find some extra curricular activities for the bunch. First up - Imagination Station. Perfect! Elaina loved the infant room and all the textures. The older 3 bounced around from the hospital room, grocery store, fire house and water tables. Nick and Eva decided to build a tower taller than them, and they actually accomplished it. The kids also went through the new dinosaur exhibit, but I had forgotten my big camera, so no pictures in this post (but some coming in January)

Melting Snowmen Cookies
In keeping with my holiday snowman baking creations, I made melting snowmen cookies for Ben's Christmas class party. The boys helped make the cut outs, but based on tight schedules (and scarce quantity of marshmallows) I assembled and decorated after they had gone to bed. At the party, the kids all sat very quietly and ate their cookies - kind of shocking. Ben's teacher was amazed at how quiet they were, but they were also EXHAUSTED (and a little bit sick).

Olaf Cake!
My Olaf cake creation! I made it for a work friend's birthday. She loves snowman, and everyone knows Olaf is the rockstar of snowmen! It was quite the undertaking and turned out decent, but I feel like if I did another one, it could be way better!

The St. Rose Christmas Program
Ben had his first Christmas program this year! St. Rose has a program for the KR-3rd grade and does it during the day. A little different, but I can see pros and cons to the daytime show. Ben had been singing his songs he was learning for over a month. We heard the various Ben remix versions of Away in a Manger, Joy to the World and Feliz Navidad, Talk about some ultimate misheard lyrics... I went to the afternoon show. Ben dressed up for the day with a bow tie, but in true Ben fashion, had his shirt tail hanging out of his sweater and was looking a little roughed up. I didn't have a super great seat to see him/take great pictures. I should also mention that the plague was going around that week. Ben's class was down 6 kids (out of 17!) and 5 of the speaking parts in the play had stand ins and they were down a few angels. They were pretty cute, though!

Piano Man
Eva got a new piano for Christmas. It has some pre-programed songs and a microphone. Nick and Eva took full advantage of both! (song: Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, preschool remix)

A Very Wolny Christmas
We spent the night in Cleveland so we could celebrate Christmas on the Wolny side the day after Elaina's birthday party. I didn't take too many pictures as we got caught up opening presents. The boys got some great gifts, including bean bag chairs (also functional as trampolines, landing pads, fort building blocks and a shield when tackling your brother), snowball guns, and super hero sweatshirts. It was a good, early Christmas!
Hmmm, an interloper!
''Huh? What? Who me?"
A GIANT present!
Uggghhh! The effort!
Ben didn't have any trouble!
The wheels were already spinning on all the fun things he could do with a bean bag chair.

Happy Birthday, Elaina!
December 13, we headed for Cleveland to celebrate little Lainy's first birthday! She was the little snow princess of the day! We celebrated with lots of fun presents and yummy cake. Lainy's favorites were anything she could put in her mouth or soft/fuzzy she could rub her cheek on. Silly girl ;)

Nick's Rocking
I've been meaning to get video of Nick's rocking for like the last 3.5 years. Finally had my phone handy!

Some Tired Boys!
The weekend Adam came back from Japan, the boys had a sleep over next door at Lexi and Austin's. (woohoo!) The next day, there were a lot of tired boys in the Wolny household.

FedEx Wednesday!
Ahh, I love FedEx Wednesday (the result of Amazon prime cyber Monday). It was a really good week for Adam to be out of town. We are still disposing of all the cardboard boxes.
Our Silly Elf, George
George was up to lots of silly shenanigans again this year. We found him hanging upside down in the ice dispenser, hanging from the second story ceiling fan, he taped off the play room, hung undies from the mantle, and left a few notes for the boys. He also brought some advent gifts, like a Lego advent calendar and a movie.

The George Chronicals
The day George showed up, was the day Ben talked non-stop for 3 hours. Straight. To George. He had a full year to catch George up on and didn't want to waste time. He told him what he wanted for Christmas, what Nick wanted for Christmas, what he wanted Santa to bring Monster, gave a few dissertations on Lego's, read George a story about Elf on the Shelf's, colored some pictures...you name it. Nick just ate all the M&Ms.
Heeeee's Baaaaaaacccckkkk
George the Elf made his annual return after Thanksgiving. Good ol' George left the boys a note in M&M's
