A Very Wolny Christmas

We spent the night in Cleveland so we could celebrate Christmas on the Wolny side the day after Elaina's birthday party. I didn't take too many pictures as we got caught up opening presents. The boys got some great gifts, including bean bag chairs (also functional as trampolines, landing pads, fort building blocks and a shield when tackling your brother), snowball guns, and super hero sweatshirts. It was a good, early Christmas!

Hmmm, an interloper!

''Huh? What? Who me?"

A GIANT present!

Uggghhh! The effort!

Ben didn't have any trouble!

The wheels were already spinning on all the fun things he could do with a bean bag chair.

Happy Birthday, Elaina!

December 13, we headed for Cleveland to celebrate little Lainy's first birthday! She was the little snow princess of the day! We celebrated with lots of fun presents and yummy cake. Lainy's favorites were anything she could put in her mouth or soft/fuzzy she could rub her cheek on. Silly girl ;)

Nick's Rocking

I've been meaning to get video of Nick's rocking for like the last 3.5 years. Finally had my phone handy!

Some Tired Boys!

The weekend Adam came back from Japan, the boys had a sleep over next door at Lexi and Austin's. (woohoo!) The next day, there were a lot of tired boys in the Wolny household.

FedEx Wednesday!

Ahh, I love FedEx Wednesday (the result of Amazon prime cyber Monday). It was a really good week for Adam to be out of town. We are still disposing of all the cardboard boxes.

Our Silly Elf, George

George was up to lots of silly shenanigans again this year. We found him hanging upside down in the ice dispenser, hanging from the second story ceiling fan, he taped off the play room, hung undies from the mantle, and left a few notes for the boys. He also brought some advent gifts, like a Lego advent calendar and a movie.

The George Chronicals

The day George showed up, was the day Ben talked non-stop for 3 hours. Straight. To George. He had a full year to catch George up on and didn't want to waste time. He told him what he wanted for Christmas, what Nick wanted for Christmas, what he wanted Santa to bring Monster, gave a few dissertations on Lego's, read George a story about Elf on the Shelf's, colored some pictures...you name it. Nick just ate all the M&Ms.

Heeeee's Baaaaaaacccckkkk

George the Elf made his annual return after Thanksgiving. Good ol' George left the boys a note in M&M's

Little Elves

Our own silly little elves (at the zoo)

A Day Trip to See the Animals

The thing about the lights at the zoo is that most of the animals are sleeping, so you don't get to see them. I took the boys back to the zoo the Sunday Adam was in Japan. It was warm, in the 60s, so there were lots of active animals AND we got to see the Galapagos turtle, Emerson, who is over 100 years old. He is new to the zoo. Adam and Ben had visited him a few weeks before and Nick and I wanted to see him. They keep the Conservatory (where he's living for the time being) closed if the temp is below 32. And of course, we had to see the reindeer again. But this time, they were feisty! They were running and chasing each other and making weird sounds. I'm not sure what got into them, but they were some feisty ladies that day!

Lights Before Christmas at the Zoo

Because Adam was going to be traveling the first week in December and we had a full calendar after that, we headed to the lights at the zoo the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. It wasn't too cold, and there were not too many people at the zoo. Unfortunately the boys weren't super cooperative, so we didn't stay super long, but we got to see the highlights. The boys' favorite this year were the reindeers. We had a llllooooooonnnnngggg conversation about the reindeer's names, where they came from, Santa, what they eat, where they go after Christmas, boys vs girl reindeer and antlers, poop and what they eat.
