A Trip to the Zoo with Aunt Sarah

Last Monday we took Aunt Sarah to the zoo to see all the baby animals. We started at the new favorite spot, the baby wallabies. This time I got a much better picture of Willa, the 8 month old baby. Her little bjorn pouch is on the ground behind her.

The boys were very into reading the signs. Ben took a note pad along and was taking notes and making observations.

It was pretty warm, so the animals were just kind of relaxing. Definitely better to go on cool or rainy days to see frisky animals!

I don't think we have ever seen the lemurs outside. This totally threw Ben for a loop. He was very concerned about the monkeys and lemurs switching houses. The little baby is the furthest right on the ground.

Aunt Sarah got the boys little googly eye presents. Ben got dinosaur and Nick got a turtle, but Nick pretty much took over both.

The polar bears were getting an after noon snack of fish. It was great to watch the babies try to catch the fish or dive for them!

A Father's Day and Aunt Sarah Visit Treat

After the boys got home on Sunday, we headed over to Penguin Palace after dinner for a Father's Day treat with Aunt Sarah. Mmmm, yummy ice cream!

I like the pinky action

Sarah and the Llama

So, ssshhhh, don't tell Ben, but while he was camping, Aunt Sarah and I went to a first birthday party with all sorts of animals! Sarah's favorite was the llama. She really wanted to ride it, but the llama was off duty when we got there. The llama had some crazy teeth and HUGE eyes! It was a little bit creepy, but Sarah was determined to get her picture with it.

Multipurpose Corn Hole

The boys found lots of good uses for the corn hole boards. Ben used them as building blocks. Nick used them as a slide and Adam used them as a changing table.

Father's Day Fishing

It wouldn't be a camping trip on Father's Day without fishing! The boys only caught one little blue gill, though.
