Sand & Golf, But Not Together
The weather was perfect today, so in the morning we went outside to play. First Ben played a little golf, then he bubble mowed the lawn, then he moved sand around the yard in buckets that kept spilling everywhere then he played soccer, then he chased Monster, then he played golf again, then he played in the sandbox again... You get the idea.

Can You Find Ben?
Hidden among all the blankets and bears? And yet with all those blankets he never actually has one on himself - he just sleeps on top of them. I put his nee-nee on him before taking this picture. After a long day, sometimes sleeping 2 years olds are the best kind of 2 year olds
My Favorite Place
Nick's favorite place to be is in his Moby wrap, all snuggly up to mommy. A lot of times I have him in the 'kangaroo pouch' position where he kind of hangs his arm out the side.

Trips to the Zoo
We recently have made a couple of trips to the zoo. On Saturday we went to see the fish and the 'baby elephant'. One of the elephants is currently pregnant and due soon. Hopefully everything will go well because it would be really cool to have a baby elephant at the zoo again! Louie, the current 'baby' is going to be 8 this month!
Nemo - Ben runs straight for this everytime we go in the aquarium

And then today we went to the zoo with Cameryn, Tiffany and Lindsey. It was again a cool and rainy-ish day, but I have decided these are the best days to go. The kids had a lot of fun in the aquarium and looking at the monkeys and apes before heading over to Nature's Neighborhood where they had lots of fun with the face paints and playing catch me in the tunnel

And Nick, well, his first two visits to the zoo were not that exciting. So far he has found the zoo a great place to take a nap.

Fun Toys
Here is Nick playing with his toys while Ben is eating lunch. Nick seems to enjoy his time with his toys more when Ben is incapacitated or not home. Hmmm, wonder why. I left the awesome conversation between Ben and I on here so everyone can enjoy the 'no way, no way' I get all day long and the joys of a tired 2 year old.
Not Your Next American Idol
Let's be honest, no one in this household will ever be auditioning for American Idol. [This is for audio purposes only.]
A New Kind of Seat Belt
We all went to Sidecut yesterday for a walk. It was the first time with both kids and Monster in the car. Monster sat in the back on the way to the park. After our walk, Monster did not want to sit in the back again, and decided that Ben's lap was a much better choice. Ben thought it was funny for about 30 seconds and then did not like it. Adam pulled Monster off and made her sit between the seats on the ride home (she jumped up on Ben before I had even turned on the car).
So Much for Tummy Time
I tried doing tummy time with Nick the other day, but after about 2 minutes, he was sound asleep with his thumb in his mouth

I'm Pretty, Oh So Pretty
Ben had arrived at the age where he picks up on everything. The other day Ben watched me put on make up. So today, he disappeared for honestly about 3 minutes. I heard him in the bathroom, but figured he was getting something he left in there earlier. Then he emerged, all proud of himself. He had gone into the drawer, unzipped my make up bag, unscrewed the top to the mascara, applied the mascara all over his eyebrows, replaced the lid, put the mascara back in the bag, zipped it up, put the bag in the exact same spot in the drawer and closed the drawer. We tried really hard, but Adam and I couldn't help it, we both busted up laughing. And Adam will be installing a lock on the last unlocked drawer in the bathroom this afternoon.

Time Flies!
As Ben would say, Nick is shockingly 1 month old already! His official weigh in today was 9lb 4oz and 22.25 inches long. He is 50% for weight and 75% for height. I don't think Ben weighed 9lb until he was 2 or 3 months old! That is the difference a good eater makes. Nick got a clean bill of health. The jaundice is gone however he does have some baby acne now. Luckily for Nick, mommy has photoshop and cleaned that up for him in these pictures :) He already has a lot of head control and has started to roll from side to side. Yesterday he turned himself 90 degrees while playing in his gym (going from head facing west to head facing south). That was a little surprising. He's also starting to interact with his toys. He is swinging and swatting at his toys in his gym and cooing and talking to his toys.

Paka Rosie
We went to the mall yesterday and because Ben was a good boy, he got to ride the 'Thomas' (all trains are Thomas except for Percy who is Percy). But then he decided to ride the dog instead... The real highlight for Ben, though, was the music. His favorite song is Ring Around the Rosie, which he calls Paka Rosie. He and the kids at daycare sing it all day long while twirling around and falling down on top of each other. We had to watch this video probably 20 times in a row this morning just for the music.
First Date
This picture is totally making an appearance the first time Ben brings a date home!!
He's actually quite good at walking in 2" heels.
