Swamp, Swamp Everywhere!

Friday we took the boys on an airboat swamp tour. It was perfect weather for finding alligators. And sure enough, we found lots!

Captain Richie put a marshmallow in the snout of the biggest alligator so then the smaller ones tried to knock it off. They got a little feisty!

More and More Lego's

Nick decided to spend his birthday money on a new set of Legos. He got to shop all 4 aisles of Toys R Us and decided on a fire rescue boat with lighthouse island. Ben and I helped him put it all together, but he loves playing with them!

Secrest/Posadny/Wolny Time!

We spent my birthday with the Secrest's and Posadny's having a fun night in. The kids hadn't seen each other in a while and had a great time playing. Tiffany had cute Easter basket desserts for the kids to make with pudding, twizzlers, m&m's and sprinkles.

And we'll call this my birthday picture. You can barely tell I had a horrible, horrible cold

TC Birthday Fun

The girls surprised me with a little birthday celebration as part of the opening day festivities. But lets be honest, a party without cake is really only a meeting, thus, there had to be cake!

Opening Day Sparklers

What would opening day be without sparklers?!

Tricia Court Opening Day

March 12 was a beautiful day and thus deemed Tricia Court Opening Day. We celebrated opening day in grand style with children playing outside from noon to 8, fire cooked chili, hot dogs, marshmallows and FUN! And cool chemicals that turn the fire fun colors.

Mommy and Nick Zoo Date

Nick and I have a very limited number of mommy and Nick days left before Ben is out of school and then Nick starts kindergarten in August :(  So, we took one of our days and went to the zoo for a brief trip. Nick got to run the show. We saw the aquarium (but wouldn't do the touch tank), saw the elephants, the construction on the giraffe's feeding area, tried to figure out where the grisly bears are going to be and saw the Tasmanian devils. Holy cow - I have never heard a noise like those things make! It was the most awful, blood curdling, screeching banshee cry I've ever heard. A little boy standing next to the exhibit burst into tears, which was the appropriate response, in my opinion.
