Pony Rides at the Balloon Festival

Earlier this month I took the boys to the Findlay balloon festival. It was a beautiful night for the hot air balloons. The boys got to pick one ride to do and they decided on pony rides. They were both very happy to ride their ponies. I have to say, Ben looked very grown up that day. He dressed himself in jeans and his Monsters Inc shirt and flip flops and watch. He looked like a little mini college boy.

A Wolny Day

A few Saturday's ago we headed to Milan for the day. The boys had fun playing outside, helping clear brush, and play with Eva! And of course eat a yummy dinner of ribs :)

A Bike Choo-Choo Train

A few Sundays ago we took a bike ride to the park. Ben wanted to ride his bike, so we let him. Well, after playing at the park with Cameryn for almost an hour, he was too tired to ride back. So I had to tow home an extra 50lbs and his bike. It only worked half way home and then Adam had to take Ben's bike and ride home holding it.

Future Photo Op Locations

We tried to do first Friday in downtown Perrysburg, but as soon as we got there, it started to pour :( So we went to dinner and came back afterward. Unfortunately the rain had closed down the fun early so there wasn't much to see. But we did walk down to the river. We found some good places to take future pictures. It was pretty dark and Ben was sporting the bug eye, so we didn't get many pictures that night.

A Library Photo Op

Ben has to take a picture with this statue every time we go to the library! Note the awesome black eye and Nick's sweet Sperrys!

Oohhh, That Looks Nasty!

Ben's awesome bug bite reaction under his eye. It was a pretty awesome black, swollen eye for a few days. The other side had a cut/scratch where Nick kicked him when he wouldn't leave him alone. Ahhh, boys.

Backyard Soccer and Swinging

The boys playing in the backyard one nice summer evening. Ben is working on his mad soccer skills and Nick is trying to improve his vertical challenges. He actually tried the climb the tree by himself a few times, and each time has gotten stuck and started crying/screaming.

Doe - A Deer, A Female Deer

Monday morning a few weeks ago, as I was getting ready to walk out the door in the morning with the boys, Monster started going beserk! I didn't really pay much attention, assuming it was a squirrel or something until Ben said there was deer in the backyard! So, this large female deer was in the neighbors backyard and even went straight to their back door! Well, come to find out, the farmer that lives just outside the subdivisions, raised this deer from a fawn, hand feeding her. She usually has a ribbon around her neck. She will go up to anyone's house and look for food and is very friendly.

Camera Cake

One of my interns turned 21 at the end of July and I typically try to do something special for their 21st birthdays. This particular intern is also a professional photography so his birthday theme was photography. I made a camera cake to take to work! I thought it turned out pretty good. In retrospect, I should have used chocolate buttercream (but I had a bucket of white left over) and should have gone with black sprinkles not sanding sugar that eventually turned green. But it was still a pretty tasty cake!

Hula Hoop It!

I bought the boys hula hoops at the store a few weeks ago. They can't actually hula hoop, but they still have fun playing with big hoops!

Blueberry Picking!

The boys and I went over to an area farm to pick blue berries the last Friday in July. I dressed them in long pants and lots of bug spray as the bugs had been pretty bad and I wasn't sure what to expect in the fields. They had some baby blue berry bushes that were perfect for the boys. However, neither one contributed to the bottom line. They just sat and ate berries straight off the bush while I filled our bucket. I just had the girl charge me for an extra 1/2 lb because I wasn't exactly sure how many they ate, but it was pretty much non-stop consumption for the 30 minutes we were there! I ended up with 3.5lbs of blueberries!

Quick - Unpack and Repack!

So we got home from vacation late Saturday and Sunday I had to turn around and pack for a work trip to New York/New Jersey. I grabbed a few cell pics as we were driving around (I was the passenger). The first picture was taken from a meeting I had in an office at the corner of Park and 5th (I think), overlooking Central Park. I missed getting the CP Zoo in the picture where you can see the polar bears on their rocks. Yeah, I wouldn't be too upset with that view everyday!
