I Think It's Time To Turn On the Heat
Um Daddy, I think it's time to turn on the furnace. No, really we were just trying on all of our winter gear. Ben is going to be toasty warm this winter!

Watching Football With Daddy
Watching the Browns game with Daddy after a high energy gymnastics class. Note the number of blankets on the couch and daddy...

Fleitz Pumpkin Farm
We headed over to the Fleitz pumpkin patch in Oregon this afternoon to check it out. They had lots of fun stuff for Ben to do, including a little hay maze, goats and chickens to feed and of course pumpkins to pick out. Definitely a place to put on the annual fall rotation!

Fort Imagination
We checked out a new park today in Perrysburg, Fort Imagination at the Woodlands park. It was actually the perfect playground for Ben. One whole area is for kids 5 and under and all the equipment is just his size. It also was nice because no one else was there, probably because it was 90 degrees outside with 40mph winds!

Blankets
'No mama, I really do need 4 nee-nees and a coloring book in the car!' Ben has gotten in the habit of grabbing every blanket he can find and taking it in the car in the morning on the way to Sharon's. He has his little nee-nee, his big nee-nee and then whatever other blankets he can find. One morning we had a pretty good melt down when I wouldn't let him take the big throw blanket off the couch with him. But once we get to Sharon's he knows that they all have to stay in the car except for little nee-nee, which gets to come inside. About this picture: First day of Fall, 92 degrees outside, and Ben has 4 blankets on top of him on the car ride home. Totally ridiculous

More Gymnastics
Another fun day at gymnastics class. After not feeling 100% last week, Ben made up for it this week. He also discovered a few new things today, including the rings and the 'high' bar. He went straight for the rings all by himself, which surprised me. And then he hung onto the high bar for a few seconds by himself. I already know he can flip over it, like he did the side of his crib a few weeks ago. They also had this caterpillar obstacle course thing that Ben buzzed through. He knew exactly what to do on that one.
Me and My Balloon
Ben and I went to the Harrison Rally Day, the annual Perrysburg festival, where a very nice little boy gave Ben a balloon. He LOVED the balloon. I think it was his first experience with a helium balloon. Adam and I are just happy it didn't end up at the top of the great room. But Ben couldn't go anywhere without his balloon until it came to the end of its life and met up with a lovely pair of scissors.

More Fishies to Feed
We stopped to feed the very hungry fish at Fallen Timbers this evening. Ben sure does love to feed fish!

What Ever Happened...
If you ever wondered (which, I'm pretty sure you didn't) what I ever did with all those pictures of Ben I took each month, I have finally finished scrapbooking them! Well, almost finished-I still need to do the journaling. But that can always be done later. I'm just glad to have all six pages done! Now if only I had the last 18 months done too (I've pretty much got the first 2 months covered)... Interestingly, looking back, he still makes some of the faces today that he did at 3 and 4 months.

The Zoo
We hadn't been to the zoo in a while, so today we went with Cameryn and her friend Abby (and Cameryn's mom and Abby's mom). It was a very light crowd today, so we had a chance to play on the statuses and ride the carousel, which Ben hasn't done since he was 6 months old.

So Tired!
Ben was very tired tonight. He still isn't feeling 100% and was worn out. He wanted to lie down on the couch, so I let him and before I knew it, he was sound asleep. This is the first time he has fallen asleep on the couch. I doubt it will be the last.

First Gymnastics Class
Oh boy...Ben started gymnastics this weekend. And boy was he excited! In fact, he was a maniac! We got to class a little early and had to wait for the class before to finish before we could go on the floor. Ben did not appreciate that too much. As soon as he saw the other kids playing on all the equipment, he wanted to be right up there with them. The kids start and end class with circle time, but Ben was way more interested in free-for-all time, where the kids play on all the different stations. His favorites were the foam 'slide', the foam columns and the pit. But really, the pit was daddy's favorite, so Ben had to go in a few times so daddy could go in...
