It was a beautiful day so we headed to Oak Openings for a good walk through the woods!

Nick really really wanted Arctic legos for Christmas. He was so excited to come home and build them. It took him a little while, but he was super excited when he finished!

A Christmas Bonfire

The day (week) after Christmas was unseasonably warm - so we had to take advantage of the weather with a bonfire and trying out new Christmas presents, like rollerblades.

Ben got the Hogwarts Great Hall lego set for Christmas. It had like 800 some pieces. Ben built it in 5 hours non-stop! He barely stopped to eat dinner.

Christmas Morning

All the fun of Christmas morning! We made the boys open the dog crates last. It was killing them what they were. Of course, once they did open them, they got inside them...

Christmas Eve

After putting Monster down in October, it took a little while for everyone (or just one person) to come around to the idea of another dog. Around Thanksgiving time Adam and I decided we would get another dog. But we would get TWO. While two seems like more work, we knew from Monster's puppy days, thatwe needed an energy release and two dogs tire each other out. So I found an Amish farmer in the Wooster area that had a new litter, ready for taking home January 2. While the timing wasn't super great, the week before would have been better so we could spend a whole week at home with them, we decided to go for it! So, we decided to surprise the boys with the puppies as Christmas presents. We ordered two crates, my mom found little elkhound like stuffed animals, and we got them gift cards. And we named the puppies - Wicket for a girl and Fezzik for a boy.  

Nativity Set in Action

The nativity set still gets played with! He sat there for probably and hour, just playing.
