For Memorial Day, we headed out to Maumee Bay State Park for a picnic dinner and some fishing. The boys didn't catch anything, but had fun casting their lines. After we ate, we went over to the beach, where they ran some energy out before the storms came in!

A Day at the Zoo
It was a beautiful spring day, so we decided to head over to the zoo. We saw the red pandas, the giraffes, and FINALLY got to see the bears. They were digging up their area and playing. They are some spunky cubs!
Ben took his camera and got some good pictures of the animals.

Last Day of School Ice Cream!
It's tradition, you have to get ice cream after school on the last day! And it was a beautiful day for it, too!
School Carnival
The last day of school is always a carnival for the kids with a bounce house and fun games. Somehow I didn't get pictures of Ben's group.
The Last Day of School!
The last day of kindergarten and 2nd grade :( We all survived the school year!
I organized the teacher gift for Ben's class - a flower plant with lots of gift cards. Who doesn't love gift cards!

Baseball Season Begins!
Both boys played baseball this spring/summer. It was a pretty big time commitment. But they both LOVED it. Ben's group was the first year of kid pitch. Ben pitched several times and played catcher. Nick's group only played two innings, practicing batting (coach pitch) and fielding. Nick did really well at 1st base and 3rd base. He needs some action to keep in the game.

A Mother's Day Present
Ben made me this plate for Mother's day. He drew a picture of me at the spa on it. I feel like there could be several interpretations of this drawing.

Happy Birthday, Eva!
We headed to Cleveland to celebrate Eva's 5th birthday. Prior to the party, Ben found ALL the MUD in their yard. He was covered, head to toe in mud. And loved every minute of it. Luckily I had the forethought to bring another set of clothes.
Eva and Elaine stuck with a cleaner type of play.
