The Trees!

I finally found 'The Trees' at Oak Openings. There is a cluster of pine trees that have great light that I had seen in some other photos and wanted to find them for myself. It was a perfect day for a walk, so we went in search of my trees. We didn't go with the intention of taking any nice pictures, just to go for a walk. 

This is where Nick got mad and wanted to go back to the car. Then he got even more mad because I started laughing at him. 

A Nick Date at Imagination Station

Nick got to spend alone time with Adam and I at Imagination Station while Ben was at a birthday party there. It was nice and quiet since it was early in the day. He got to play all sorts of stuff and run the show. 

Top 15!

It was a cold, windy, rainy, nasty day. So of course that was the day Ben had his best race. He ran hard in the rain and came in 15th place! His goal this season was to get in the top 15 because he got a second ribbon AND his name on the CYO standings page. He was so excited, in his shy, modest way, about getting his second ribbon.

A Boys' Camping Weekend

Adam, Stan, Kevin and Tom went on their regular fall camping trip to Pennsylvania. Sounds like the men had a good time. I'm still trying to get the camp fire smell out of Adam's clothes.

A Little Nick Cuteness

On the days he had to brave the CC practices and just hang out...He was a good sport! But there were canons involved, so I don't think it was too taxing on him.

My best shots of the lunar eclipse (9/27). The clouds cleared for the first half, but then obscured the moon for the second half. 

A Putt Putt Date

While Ben was at a birthday party, Nick and I went on a putt-putt date. Nick loves to play golkey (his hybrid golf and hockey method) and had been asking for a week to go play. We are lucky that there is a place around the corner from home. He needs to get some time on the greens if he wants golf clubs for Christmas!

Movie night Saturday. Since Jurassic World wasn't out yet, they settled for The Goonies. Like, the all time, bestest movie ever! I was Ben's age the first time I saw it. And he was petrified of Sloth. Really? So disappointing...He came around a bit at the end when Sloth came down the sail with Chunk. Everytime Sloth was on screen, he hid under the blankets.
