More Fun At Greenfield Village
Their hobo lunches came inside bandannas which had to be worn as soon as they were done eating. I thought they looked pretty cute! We walked off lunch by going through the houses. Ben had to check out every. single. one. And if there was a historian person in there, watch out! He was asking questions.
Then we took a little break by the pond to watch the fish and ducks and take more mommy and me pictures ;)
New since we had been there last was a playground. It is totally awesome!! I would say it is one of the most awesome playgrounds I have ever seen. The boys loved it (maybe a little bit too much when Ben decided he didn't want to leave and ran away...)
The Animals of Greenfield Village
But really, what the boys liked best at Greenfield Village, was the animals. They got to see sheep and chickens, a rooster, a cow, horses, ducks and fish.
Around the Roundhouse We Go!
Ben got to work the roundhouse turn table! You had to be 6 or older, so Nick only got to observe.
He was pushing hard!
But when it was time to stop, he needed a little extra help. His 55lbs couldn't quite stop the 55+ tons of metal he was moving.
A Day Out with Thomas the Tank Engine!
For Mother's day this year, we decided to take a ride on Thomas the Tank Engine! We did it a few years ago, but Nick was more into it this year. I think this is probably our last year of it being fun and exciting :( But, the boys still loved it this year. I think Ben enjoyed it more this time than he did last time.
We were entertained by a hobo band while waiting our turn for the train

Oh, too funny....
Tattoo time! Who doesn't love a good Thomas tattoo?!

Family Time at the Zoo
My aunt and uncle and cousins came in town for a wedding Mother's Day weekend. A family brunch was planned with my grandma for Sunday, but we were going to see Thomas the train, so we couldn't go. Instead, we met up at the zoo for a fun afternoon of animal site seeing! It was a beautiful day. Unfortunately, Nick wasn't feeling good, so Adam took him back to the truck for a rest. But Ben and Caroline still had fun!
Renee was working hard to stay cool - blowing dirt and mud onto herself!
