The Post Parade Crash

And with hard parading, comes some hard crashing! We got stuck in traffic for about 40 minutes on the way home, which was good timing for naps. Unfortunately, Nick fell asleep with his hand in a bag of snack mix with chocolate chips...that was fun to clean up. 

Saturday Parading!

Saturday we hit up St Charles again for the parades, this time in front of the Best Western. The boys had fun watching the fun parades, dancing in the street and playing bubbles. IT was a beautiful day for parades. And Nick was full of all sorts of funny faces.

A Walk Around NOLA

Friday (the 13th) Sarah and I took a walk around downtown. I wanted to get some architecture pictures and see what there was to see. We walked around the CBD, saw some fighter jets (could almost see their pearly whites, it seemed they were that close), saw the cathedral and some fun decorated balconies. And then we went into Lululemon where we were treated to the full LL experience. In honor of Valentine's day - free champagne; in honor of Friday the 13th - a taro card reader (quite interesting)!; in honor of a random Friday - a free cup cozie! And I didn't even buy anything!

Parade Time! Thursday

Thursday night of Mardi Gras, we got dressed up and headed for St Charles to see the night parades, Chaos and Muses. Ben was Superman, Nick was a firefighter and the girls were Mardi Gras super heros. The boys had a lot of fun watching the parades and playing with the Australian Sheppard dog at the house we were at for parade watching.

The boys and I headed to New Orleans for Mardi Gras, and couldn't have had better timing. Toledo was nasty bitter cold (which it continued to be for the rest of the month, but at least we got a week reprieve). The sun was shining and the air was warm! The boys and I soaked it up at the park!

The First Snow Storm of February - Superbowl Sunday

The first snow storm of February was also Super Bowl Sunday. I purposely forget how much snow we got, but it was snowing at a good clip all day. The guys had to snow blow every few hours to keep up with it. The kids played outside for a long time while the mom's stood around the fire pit drinking 'mommy hot chocolate' :) 

Ben got to use his snow ball gun he got for Christmas. It was a big hit with the kids! Makes a perfect snow ball every time!

Just Can't Hang...

After at least 2 hours playing outside after school on a Friday night, Ben just couldn't hang. He passed out on the couch while the other three watched a movie, huddled around the iPad.
