Happy Birthday, Eva!

Last Saturday was cousin Eva's first birthday. Her party theme was Garden Fairy. Auntie Dre made this beautiful cake and Grandma made the fairy on top. It has dark hair and blue eyes, just like the birthday girl!

After a good birthday nap, Eva put on her shnazzy fairy outfit and joined the party. She had cute little wings and a fun tutu

Bring on the cake!

What are these funny things tickling my neck?

Great Grandma found this sweet candle - you light the inside and it pops out with the sparkler and all the little candles. It then spins and plays Happy Birthday music. It was pretty awesome!

It Was a Feisty Day at the Zoo!

Not only were the baby polar bears fiesty on Friday, so were the otters. I think the otter had babies last year, so I'm not sure if these are juvenile otters or not. But by their behavior, I have a feeling they are.

It's never good to get pinned on your back

Because your siblings will just keep pushing you

Until you end up in the drink.

Haha! Victorious!

Nick really liked watching the otters

Pictures at the Zoo

While at the zoo the other day Ben asked to have his picture taken. This does not happen. So I had to scoop this opportunity up! And fast! Ben was a great model for like 5 minutes. And I finally got some good pictures of him!

Nick took a few, but wasn't that into it.

And then the lion wore Ben's hat.

Baby Polar Bears!!!

The mama polar bear at the zoo had another set of twins this past winter. The cubs have been secluded with their mom since birth and on Friday were finally introduced to the public. I told the boys if we got all of our errands done early in the morning, we could run over to the zoo to see the baby polar bears. And they are just freak'n adorable!! We stood and watched them for probably 10-15 minutes. They were playing and swimming and wrestling and having a good ol time! There is on girl and one boy. I forget their names, but they are both Inuit names.

If you run between mom's legs, it will slow down the chaser.

Swimming to catch the ball

It really did remind me of my house with all the wrestling these two did. Though, my boys aren't quite ready for underwater wrestling.

Crystal (the mama) came up with a fishy treat!

We will be going back to the zoo a lot this summer to see the baby polar bears grow. They will be placed at different zoos within two years.

A Money Cup

Nick found Ben's money jar and discovered that his sippy cup fit perfectly. It is his interpretation of a double-walled cup (with a little jingle-jangle).

Crusin' the Cul de Sac

These three crack me up! Last Thursday they went cruising the cul de sac. They thought they were so cool. I  fear the day in 14 years when they are doing this in a much bigger car!

Here, Let Me Help You With That

Nick was very helpful while Adam was cutting the grass on Thursday. First, he went back over the areas Adam had mowed to make sure he didn't miss any spots. Then he got a little ahead of Adam to show him the way.
