The Art Museum - Who Knew?!

Still Friday...So after my art time, Adam picked up the boys and we all met up at the art museum. Once we got there we found out they have a whole family fun center for kids to do art projects and fun toys and chalk and all sorts of stuff! It was pretty awesome. Ben has been so into coloring lately that he ate it up. He did a dot marker pictures with me and then he painted a picture on the easel. He was very proud of his painting. Nick played with the toys in the adjacent room and colored with markers. Most of the marked ended up on his face. The play room kind of reminded me of the play stuff at the P'burg library. After we finished our paintings, we walked around a bit, found a concert in the Cloisters and checked out the gift shop where I used my $20 gift card for a set of blocks for the boys.

Mommy's Art Time

After Imagination Station, I dropped the boys off at Sharon's and  headed toward the mall for a work event. My department at work liked to do social activities or events to have fun and relieve a bit of stress. Last year we went to the art museum and made glass flowers. This year we went to Uncork the Artist, a Corks and Canvases type place here in Toledo. It just opened this summer and this was my second time going. It was a really good time and everyone enjoyed it!

The IS Standard: Firetrucks and Ambulances

A standard favorite at Imagination Station - the ambulance and fire truck. We haven't been over to IS in a long time. Nick enjoyed it a lot more this time. If I had let him, he would have sat and drove the ambulance the whole time. As it was, I had to drag him out of it when it was time to leave.

Sesame Street Fun at Imagination Station

Yesterday morning we started the day off at Imagination Station. They have a new Sesame Street Body exhibit that just opened last week. It was pretty darn cool! Ben and Nick had a lot of fun playing with all the exhibits including the wheelchair/rowing race, the grocery store, Elmo's world and fun puzzles. Cameryn and Andrew met up with us for the fun!

Brotherly Snuggles

Watching Madagascar the other night. Awww, so cute

Surprise! Double Rainbows!

Around 8am this morning, I let the dog out. No big deal. Thirty seconds later, she starts crazy barking. Shocking. So I went outside to get her. I had noticed it was weird light outside, but was too busy with hangry children to give it much thought. As I walked out onto the patio, I looked up and BAM! There was a huge double rainbow in the backyard. I literally ran back into the house to get my camera, followed by a half naked child (luckily it was still semi warmish this morning, so the half naked child was not in danger of hypothermia). The double rainbow was a full arc, but I couldn't get all of, nor could I really see it all that well through the trees. But it was still pretty awesome!

Swinging - A Group Activity

I guess we have proven that the swing set is pretty sturdy.

A Beautiful Fall Day in the Backyard

The boys playing in the backyard this weekend while I worked on my manual photography skills.
