A Day at the Zoo with the Pierce's

Friday we got a visit from the Pierce's and Auntie Gwen. Erin, Lauren and David had asked to go to the zoo, so we all headed over for a day with the animals. And the animals did not disappoint.
The seals were swimming and lounging in the sun
 The giraffes were strolling around
 Lots of birds to see

A break for a snack. Ben and David were deep in conversation.

The lemurs were crazy! The little babies are not little anymore! Here they are making a little lemur choo-choo train

The daddy lemur could see the keeper arranging the other room with food and was checking it out through the window
Then they got to go in the food and toy laden room and pandemonium broke out! The lemurs went
C-R-A-Z-Y
Then it was off to see the gorillas. Most of them were sleeping except for the silverback. He was very intent on picking his nose and eating his boogers. It was awesome. Everyone was taking pictures, so Ben had to join in. He is getting really good at taking pictures with my iPod. I will have a post of Pictures by Ben soon.

Everyone got to be an animal!

It was a great trip to the zoo!

A T-Ball Double Header

Last week was a t-ball double header with games on Monday and Tuesday due to a 'heat-out' a few weeks ago. Ben did good again, playing in outfield and batting. We need to work on the batting, but he is definitely doing better listening and following directions.

The Cicada

Last week Ben found a recently deceased cicada. It became his new pet and baby. He was totally obsessed with it. Unfortunately, Monster was also totally obsessed with it, and as soon as Ben walked away, she snagged it and ate it.
Ben cuddling his cicada. He said it was 'sooooo cuuuute'

Here is the last set of pictures from our beach photo shoot.

These were the last of the pictures for the evening, and pretty much sum it all up.
