T-Ball Time!

Yesterday was Ben's first T-ball game! He is playing in a 3-5 year old league in Waterville, which is convenient to Sharon's house. Unfortunately, the first game was on the hottest day of the year so far (96 degrees) and Adam was held up at work and wasn't able to see Ben play. But Ben did fairly well. He really just wanted to bat and wear a helmet. He did pretty good talking and listening to the coach dads, which I was a little nervous about. The way the kids play, is there are a total of 4 teams and they rotate playing each other each week. There are no practices, just 2 inning games each week. When playing outfield, the kids line up, half on 1st and half on 2nd base. 2nd base fields the ball after it has been hit and throws it to first while the batter runs to 1st base. Each kid batters once per inning. Ben struggled with sitting on the white line and waiting his turn to bat, especially when he was last in line. Overall, he did pretty well. I think it will go better next week when Adam can hopefully be there and hopefully not be so hot. There will probably be weekly posts on this as it is rather entertaining. I am going to need to take more video of the crazy shenanigans going down at t-ball.

Father's Day Fishing

This past Sunday, the boys celebrated Father's Day with some fishing. It was Nick's first fishing trip. He didn't really care about the fishing part, but he did like petting the fish. Between petting fish, he just wanted to play in the water and chase his brother. Ben was pretty much into the same thing. He played in the water and threw rocks until Adam or Dzaidzau caught a fish and then he would yell, 'I'll be right there' and come reel the fish in.

Awww, Just Look at that Face!

Swimming and Mud Go Hand In Hand

This past weekend we headed to Milan for Father's Day. Saturday Ben went to the bank and grocery store with Grandma where they picked up a new pool for Grandma's house! The boys had a lot of fun playing in the pool and just as much fun playing in the dirt/mud next to the pool.

A new feature I'm trying out - it's not exactly what I'm looking for, but close for now. It will cycle through the pictures again, but you have to give it a few seconds before it restarts.

Stomping in the mud - repeatedly

See How Our Garden Grows

The boys helping daddy with the garden. Helping is a loosely used term in this instance.
