My nickname for Nick is Cheekers. His cheeks almost put Aunt Sarah's to shame, but they are not bigger than his forehead yet, so Aunt Sarah is still the cheek winner. And I still sometimes call Ben Bugga-boo, or Buggy for short.

Gardening at Great Grandma's
The boys 'helped' Grandma with some gardening around the yard. Read: They dug some unnecessary and slightly dangerous holes and tore apart garden decorations. But they were having fun playing outside.
A Little Dip
Nick dipping his tootsies into the Farmington River. All he wanted to do was get in the water, and this was the only way I could make him happy.

Boy Vs. Marshmallow
After the fishing attempt, we went over to the camp ground. I had brought some marshmallows for Ben to roast. Luckily the camp ground allowed fires on Saturday - they had a no fire policy on Friday due to the dry conditions.
Ben lightly roasted a marshmallow for his brother. And so began the ultimate sticky mess...
Fishing
Saturday we went out to the river and the camp ground with Adam. The boys tried fishing, but the fish were not cooperating and were not willing to be caught.
Road Trip!
Last Thursday, after work, we hit the road! We were headed to Connecticut for Adam's annual boy's fishing/camping trip and for a trip to Great-Grandma's. We drove half way (about 5 hours) Thursday, stayed at a hotel and drove the remainder Friday morning. Overall, the boys did very good in the car. As long as Nick had food and Ben had a movie or an iPod game, we were golden!
We got to the hotel in Milesburg around 12:30 Thursday/Friday. The boys had been sleeping in the car for a few hours so when we got into the room, they were wired, especially Nick. He was all over Ben, bouncing/flopping on the bed. I got them both to sleep around 2. Awesome.
There are no words...He seriously balanced a cookie on the bottom of his foot and then ate it.

Fun at the Park
After our walk, we ate dinner at the park then played at the playground. They have a mini-playground this is just right for Nick. Though, be bit it bad, and had a busted up eye right before we left.
This is his new silly look - he juts his neck forward and looks at you with this ridiculous bug-eye look
See, bug-eyed
Better watch that step...
Yup, just as I suspected.

A Nature Walk
Sunday we went for a walk at Oak Openings. Ben walked by himself, about 2.5 miles, while Nick rode in the backpack.
Tornadoes ripped through part of the park in 2010. You can still see a lot of the destruction
Man, that kid can run!
Ben collecting 'coconuts' (aka pinecones). Sorry for the sea-sickening video. The dslr isn't the best for anti-shaking while walking.
