Happy Birthday, Lily!

Saturday we helped Lily celebrate her 2nd birthday! It was a zoo themed party. The kids made their own crowns with some pretty cool stickers before Lily opened her presents.

Nick was slightly more fascinated with looking outside

Ben had fun playing with Lily's toys

made this fantastic zoo themed birthday cake! It was awesome!

A Blog Narration

Ben's narration of the blog. I think it's interesting to hear what he sees when he looks at the pictures

ABC's

Ben's rendition of the ABC's. There are a few mis-pronunciations, but we are working through those. He pretty much does it spot on, now.

Oh, The Drama!

Oh the drama!

Happy baby, screwing around with mommy's headband

Oh, the crabby face!
Nope, pulled out of it. Happy again.
But then mommy told me no! And so the drama begins, along with the fabulous faces.
1. The scrunchy face
2. The BBL (big bottom lip) and lower jaw jut
3. Getting the tears started
4. There it is - the alligator tears
5. Squeeze out the tears and add a little more BBL
6. At least it gives me a chance to check and count his teeth
7. Are you still looking? Should I still be crying?

And with that, he went to bed. He slept another 1.5 hours after having taken a 3 hour nap in the morning.

Easter Pictures

Daddy Easter Smack Down

Good clothes or not, you can still beat up on daddy.

Fishy Face

Nick's newest tricks/discovers: flicking his tongue around in his mouth and fishy faces. He is constantly chewing/sucking in his cheeks! It's pretty funny

Egg Hunt

The Easter Bunny set up an egg hunt for the boys at Grandma and Grandpa's house! Ben was a crazy boy running all over the yard looking for eggs. Nick was a bit under the weather, so he stayed by the patio. Once he figured out what was going on, he got into it, though. He loves putting things in baskets, so he enjoyed placing the eggs in the basket.

Ultimately, Ben had a lot more eggs than Nick, but oh well. The eggs were filled with quarters! They promptly went into piggy banks when we got home.

Happy Easter!

First, I must say, Ben's Easter gift to Adam and I, was to sleep in to 7am. It was the best gift ever.
After we got up, dressed and off to church, we came home, ate breakfast and looked for Easter baskets. The Easter bunny brought quite a bit of stuff, so there were multiple things to look for. Each got a little bit of candy in their basket then Ben got a soccer ball, a Thomas game, Gater golf and a Gnome sand bucket set. The Easter bunny left Nick a fire truck (that can go outside), a mini basketball hoop, a set of sand toys and a Gnome sand bucket set! The Easter bunny left pictures of the boys on their presents so they would know who the gift was for.

Then we packed up and headed to Grandma and Grandpa Wolny's for dinner. The Easter bunny had visited Grandma's house, too! The boys got a bug/fishing net, a folding chair, a ribbon wand, a bubble gun and a few other sand toys. Ben is very excited to use his new net for fishing in a few weeks. We haven't broken out the bubble gun yet. Once that is introduced, I'm pretty sure it's all I'm going to hear about for a few weeks.

You Mean These Blocks?

The boys playing blocks. Notice how Nick tries to prevent Ben for using any of the blocks still in the box by sitting on them.

Ben's tower...
And Nick coming in for the destruction. The little paw was going for the chef hat on top of the tower. He waited until Ben had moved away from his tower a bit before he lunged for it. Nick won. The tower was destroyed and he made off with the chef hat.
