Why, You Look Like A Tasty Treat

I put Nick right up to the glass of this fish, which was easily twice his size. The fish came right up to Nick, face to face, and moved it's mouth in a 'mmmmm, you look tasty' kind of way!

Nick and the big, ugly fish, eye-to-eye

A Trip to the Zoo

Yesterday we took a little trip to the zoo. The gorillas were having a good time. The silverback was cracking me up with his posture. Ben calls him the mean monkey. You can't really blame him - he does look a little rough.

I got a few pictures of the boys on the tiger statue, but not quite what I was going for.

The baby tigers sleeping with their mommy. They are not so little anymore!!

An neither is baby Louie, the big brother elephant. He's getting very big and his new exhibit is opening in 6 weeks. Ben is very excited to see the new elephant enclosure!

Attaching king crab! Those things are gianormous!

Pictures with Mommy

Nick and I played around with the shutter remote the other day. Disclaimer: It was a little impromptu, so mommy wasn't exactly looking her best :)

Outside Time

Nick really does have some of the best facial expressions.

Falling into the sandbox.

Ninja sword move (with sticks)

'Hmmm, what to do, what to do...'
'I know! I'll move dirt from one side of the yard, to the other!'

That tongue! I think he was using it to mess with the suspect bonus tooth!

For Good Measure

We'll throw in a picture of Monster. It isn't very often that I get a good picture of her.

Brutus

Nick is a beast these days. He's actually on the small side for his age (25th percentile for weight and height), but he is built like a linebacker.

In this picture you can kind of see the suspected bonus tooth (that is also crooked).

They may look chubby, but those legs are solid.
And a wide stance. He's not necessary bow-legged, but he does have a really wide stance. Not that that helps with stability, though.

It might be blurry, but look at those shoulders! It's like a little baby Arnold Schwarzenegger (circa Commando) coming at you!
And then the big, square feet. His heel is the same width as his toes. And they are about as thick as they are wide. So I guess that would actually make them cube feet.

Working On It...

Nick is working on his scooter skills. He has a little ways to go.

Eeyore and Teddy

Again, Nick loves his Eeyore and Teddies. He kind of says 'Teddy' in this video, but it's hard to decipher

A Boy and His Eeyore

Nick has gotten really into his stuffed animals lately. He even said Eeyore today. I have been giving him a teddy bear when I change his diaper lately, and he can almost say Teddy, too.

Mickey Mouse Fish

Well, after keeping Gooey-eyed fish alive for a few weeks, Adam and Ben were allowed to get a few more fish. Today then went and got two Mickey mouse fish and a sucker fish. The yellow ones are called Mickey Mouse fish because of their tails - see the MM shape?? The sucker fish was in a weird spot, so I couldn't get a good picture. As of this afternoon, the fish names are, Uncle (sucker fish), Jumi (MM fish 1), Gooey-eyed fish (the black one) and I can't remember the other MM fish's name.

Is It March or May? I'm Confused

A Swing, A Ball and A Binkie

Nick has not been a very happy boy lately. He was been cutting 5 teeth, all at the same time, including his last molar, 3 I-teeth, and 1 front tooth. It's still a little early to confirm, but I'm pretty sure he has a bonus front tooth - that is crooked. I'm a little freaked out. But, we got him to be happy in the swing, with his binkie and a ball the other night while I made dinner.
