Working On It...

Nick is working on his scooter skills. He has a little ways to go.

Eeyore and Teddy

Again, Nick loves his Eeyore and Teddies. He kind of says 'Teddy' in this video, but it's hard to decipher

A Boy and His Eeyore

Nick has gotten really into his stuffed animals lately. He even said Eeyore today. I have been giving him a teddy bear when I change his diaper lately, and he can almost say Teddy, too.

Mickey Mouse Fish

Well, after keeping Gooey-eyed fish alive for a few weeks, Adam and Ben were allowed to get a few more fish. Today then went and got two Mickey mouse fish and a sucker fish. The yellow ones are called Mickey Mouse fish because of their tails - see the MM shape?? The sucker fish was in a weird spot, so I couldn't get a good picture. As of this afternoon, the fish names are, Uncle (sucker fish), Jumi (MM fish 1), Gooey-eyed fish (the black one) and I can't remember the other MM fish's name.

Is It March or May? I'm Confused

A Swing, A Ball and A Binkie

Nick has not been a very happy boy lately. He was been cutting 5 teeth, all at the same time, including his last molar, 3 I-teeth, and 1 front tooth. It's still a little early to confirm, but I'm pretty sure he has a bonus front tooth - that is crooked. I'm a little freaked out. But, we got him to be happy in the swing, with his binkie and a ball the other night while I made dinner.

Auntie Dre's Baby Shower

This weekend we had a baby shower to Adam's sister, Andrea. The boys are going to have a little girl cousin this May! Adam's Grandma, Aunt Ann and Aunt Gwen came from Connecticut for the shower, so we spent time with them on Saturday and then saw them again on Sunday. It was a beautiful day to play outside on Saturday, but bad mommy didn't get any pictures, mostly because I didn't like the light (direct sunlight). Yes, that's the truth. So, I made up for it by taking lots of pictures on Sunday at the shower. Lee made a beautiful cake (she made the babies and flowers by hand with gum paste and fondant) and lots of delicious food, we played a few baby shower games and little Baby Lewalk received some wonderful gifts!

Couch Time with Mommy

Multitasking at its finest: I am talking to my sister on the phone, taking a picture, kind of watching Frozen Planet and cuddling with the boys all at the same time. Sarah got me a remote shutter release for my camera for my birthday so now I can be in the pictures!! I am very excited about it! I have the perfect spot on the entertainment center that is just right for my 50mm lens to shoot the couch, or Fight Club Arena, as it is also known. You can see the remote in my right hand (I need to work on my subtle remote techniques). I have lots of ideas for my new toy, so stay tuned :)

Sandbox Time

Ben has been playing in the sandbox most days lately, even before this warm-up. Friday night was Nick's first time in the sandbox. He seemed to be a seasoned pro, so maybe he has played in the sandbox at daycare, too. Ummm, I just love the sandbox. And all the sand that comes in my house because of it. UmmHmmm

Well, It's Not a Snake, But It's Kinda Close

I found a giant worm as I opened the garage door today, so I pointed it out to Ben. He was totally fascinated. He was poking it, playing with it and asking a lot of questions about it. After we got back from our errands, Ben went outside to play. A few minutes later, he came running up to the door yelling Mommy, Mommy, Come see! He was digging in the dirt of the old tree stump and uncovered another worm. So his snake hunt has now turned into a worm hunt. It will probably be a much more lucrative pursuit as compared to snake hunting in the backyard.

It's a Slide and a Hiding Spot

I Don't Know What to Think Of This...

But I suppose I'll take it. But I am completely prepared for another snow storm or two. I'm a realist. But all the trees started budding this week. The forsythia is starting to turn yellow, the lilac is starting to bud and our neighbors actually cut their grass last weekend. This really is typical May weather. But it is really, really nice!

Dinner via Choo Choo Train

I forgot about this from last week! Last Saturday my friend Susan called to ask us on a kiddie date. She had heard of this place in Haskins (about 7 minutes from our house) where the kid's meals are delivered by train. Herbies (the restaurant) is a very cute small down place and did in fact have a train that delivered the kid's food! It was a really nice place to go with the kids - it wasn't too busy, very family friendly and low key, allowing for a relaxing dinner (or as relaxing as you can get with kids:) This is a video of the food delivery. The adult meals don't fit on the train, so they come the standard method - a waitress with a tray.
