Pumpkin Patch

Today was a fun trip to the pumpkin patch. We went back to the same place we went last year, Fleitz, in Oregon. Grandma and Dziadziu met us there. I think Ben's most favoritest thing was the little ride-on tractor. He also enjoyed the muddy hay ride on the big tractor. We got four pumpkins - one for each of us - to decorate for Halloween.

Kiddy Date Night

Last night we went over to Kevin and Tiffany's for a 'kiddy date night'. Chris & Kristi & Andrew and Meredith & Andy were also there. Meredith just got back from fighting forest fires in Minnesota, Arizona and Texas, so it was really nice to see her again! The kids had a good time playing and screaming. I have a few videos of Ben and Cameryn 'singing' on the PS3, but I will spare your hearing. My ears are still ringing 24 hours later. It's amazing just how loud and ear piercing 2 year-olds can be! 

Decorating Cookies

I made sugar cookies yesterday (with Ben's help) to take to Cameryn's house for a little get-together. I decorated some and Ben decorated some for the kids. I made royal frosting and after I had frosted the cookies, I let him apply sprinkles while the frosting was still wet. He did a pretty good job!

And here are some of the cookies I decorated. They're no Cookie Lady cookies yet, but for my fist time with royal icing, they weren't too bad.

What A Good Boy!

What a good boy Nick is. He knew better than to start crawling before my camera was fixed. Yesterday he decided to really start working on it. He's rocking a lot and I've seen a few knee-forward movements, but no take off and go yet. 'Yet' I mind you. But my camera is back now, so he can feel free to start crawling whenever he likes.You can also hear him making his gurgling sounds and smacking his lips - two of his favorite noises right now.

Some BIG Teeth

Nick's top two teeth are HUGE compared to his bottom teeth. Yeah, he can thank mommy for that one.

Seven-ish Months

First, I am very happy to announce that my camera has returned to me. It was a very happy day yesterday! So once I unwrapped it, checked it all out and made sure it was all fixed up, Nick and I put it to good use. Nick was a very good model yesterday afternoon while Ben was sleeping, so I ended up taking about 120 pictures in about 20 minutes (had to make sure that continuous shooting mode was working well).

The Funniest Guy I Know

Ben is definitely the funniest guy Nick knows. He's hil-ar-i-ous! Even when Ben's in time out and Nick just laughs and laughs at him.

Apple Picking

We went to pick apples at McQueen's today. Ben has been all about apples lately. He will go into the refrigerator whenever he is hungry, get an apple and just start munching away. He started out the morning with an apple from the fridge, then we had apple fritters at McQueen's before picking our apples.

How do you get the best apples? Up high on daddy's shoulders

Ben ate probably 3 apples in 20 minutes while Nick tried to eat grass

Why Hello, Doggie

Nick and Monster having a stare down. We couldn't figure out why Monster was so interested in Nick...until we found the Gerber puffs stuck to Nick's butt. She really didn't care about Nick, she was just after the puffs.
