of cleaning the living room in order to vacuum includes piling everything he can find (including his brother) into one massive pile in the middle of the room.

Posting Are Going to Be a Little Sparse
The blog postings are going to be a little sparse for the next few weeks. My camera broke today. I am pretty upset about it. I am sending it to Canon to get fixed. I have a high end, 'sophisticated' point and shot and the underwater casing, so it is more economical to fix it than to replace it. Hopefully I will have it back within a few weeks. In the mean time all I have left is my very first digital camera, a 2.0 mega pixel Canon from 2001 or 2002. So, it will be a bit of a downgrade in the picture quality. Say a little prayer that my trusty G9 will be returned to me in working condition very soon!
Attention Shoppers
Attention Churchill's Shoppers: Beware of maniac crazy cart driver that is hard to see as he plows around corners.
Fort Crib
First, yes, Ben is still in a crib. I am not ready for him to have the freedom to get himself out of bed yet. But we made a fort out of his crib yesterday. Ben is all about the forts and tunnels these days. He was pretty excited to play in his tunnel/fort yesterday.
A Beautiful Day at the Zoo
Friday we went to the zoo with Lily and Susan and their friends Tanya and Jasmyn. We got to see baby Lucas, who is just ridiculously cute. I could watch him play all day - he's so funny!
We went into the reptile house where we found a blue frog and a little mini alligator - a Chinese crocodile or something.
The hippos are back in their big outside pool after being holed up inside while they finished construction next door on the new elephant exhibit. The hippos seemed happy about it.
The otter was very active Friday - swimming and playing with a big plastic water jug. The kids enjoyed watching him.

Close, But Not Quite!
Nick is very very very close to crawling. This picture and video is from last week. He has made some progress since this video in crawling.

My Technicolor Baby
I now call Nick my technicolor baby. A chronological recap:
Age: 1 week
Color: Yellow (jaundice)
Age: 1 Month, 4 Months
Color: Red (acne, skin rash)
Color: Blue/ Purple (nothing to worry about, it's a positional thing)
Age: Near Future
Color: Orange (do you remember Ben's Oompa Loompa glow from all the orange foods? Well Nick is just starting them so give him a month or two and he'll be sporting the fake bake look, too)
Melon Festival
This past weekend was the annual Milan Melon Festival. We took the boys down Sunday night and for lunch on Monday. There was a band playing composed of three sisters. I looked them up and they were featured on America's Got Talent. I thought they were pretty good for only being 10, 12 and 14 years old. Ben enjoyed dancing to their music and Nick liked listening to them.

The Inaugural Camping Trip
This weekend was supposed to be Ben's inaugural camping adventure in Dziadziu's (grandpa's) new camper. However, they only got to camp for about 3 hours before a bad storm blew through and they came back in the house. But Ben got a special surprise for his first camping adventure - a new Cars sleeping bag!! He was pretty excited about it! Hopefully next time the boys will get to camp out the whole night and have a bon-fire. The weather just didn't want to cooperate this past weekend...
Mmmm, Water
Nick is now started to learn how to use a cup. He is still totally shocked the first time he takes a drink from the cup.
Little Fishies
This weekend was the first week of swim classes for the fall session. And Nick's first time! He really liked the water and was even kicking his little legs as I moved him across the pool. He is the smallest guy in his class. I think the next youngest might be 12 months or so.
And of course Ben is in swim class again. He is supposed to be in the 2-3 year old class, but it's the same thing as the younger kid class. The boys are in two separate classes with Nick going first and then Ben.
