Cedar Point - Wolny Style

Cedar Point for infants. That's what big brothers are for.

Fun With Toys

Nick has become very interested in his toys recently. Apparently the people at Baby Einstein really know their stuff because Nick loves the octopus as much as Ben did. He also loves playing with his elephant on the car seat and lion on the stroller

First Trip to the Pool

After a long, hot day of garage saling, it was time to hit up the Perrysburg pool. And well, there was no slowing down at the pool. Ben was crazy running around, checking out all the different parts of the pool, like the diving boards and slide. Adam and I had to take turns chasing him while the other sat with Nick in the shade. Ben has absolutely no fear of the water. He was walking in the pool in about chest deep water and tripped and went under. I was right behind him, but he flailed a bit but then started to swim before I pulled him up (all in about the course of 2 seconds). But he popped up, I calmly asked him if he was ok and he said yes and was off again. Nick even dipped his tootsies in and liked it, even with the cold water.

Garage Saling

This weekend was the big neighborhood garage sale. It was quite the success. We sold quite a bit of stuff and also found a lot of good deals. I got an exersaucer for Nick, a pack n play for the in-laws, a bunch of books, Adam got a mini fridge for the garage and Ben got a big play shark, a Tonka dump truck and two hard hats-one for him and one for Nick. Ben had a very good time because he got to be outside all day Saturday. He actually spent most of the day in the neighbors' garage or at least stalking it.

A Preview

A little preview of Ben for Auntie Dre's upcoming wedding (and a little bit of fun with photoshop). I found a little seersucker suit today for Ben to wear to the wedding. It's kind of ridiculously cute :) Now I just have to find something for Nick...

Horse Ride

A farm about 2 miles from the house was having horse rides today. I wasn't sure how Ben would react, but he's been really into horses lately, so I figured we'd give it a try. He loved it! He went around the pen twice with daddy walking beside him and then went to see the horses in the field.

Speedbump

So much for that. Nick now goes up and over the boppy pillow.

So I put him on his back and strap him into the boppy and what does he do? A back bend. If he can get his feet underneath him, he can pretty much launch himself. He cannot be trusted in a bouncy seat at all - something Sharon found out when Nick almost leaped out of his chair at daycare.

Happy Baby!

An Evening Snack

An evening snack of yogurt while reading the zoo newsletter. Ben is VERY excited about the new baby elephant at the zoo! They have videos of the baby (it's a boy) on YouTube that he now loves to watch. It really is a cute little baby elephant. Hopefully he will make is public debut soon!

Memorial Day

We spent Memorial Day at Grandma and Grandpa Wolny's. It was finally warm out, so we spent most of the day outside.

Nick hung out in the stroller. He enjoyed the warm weather and the shade. He even was ok with Ben splashing water all over him (mommy was not so ok with it)

Ben played in the pool. The water was extremely cold, but that had no effect on Ben.

And Daddy flew a big kite!

'Camping'

Well the plan was to go fishing and camping this weekend, but unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate for camping. So instead Ben and daddy went 'camping' on the air mattress in the bedroom. Adam has only good things to say about sleeping with a 2 year old on an air mattress - for the whole 2 hours of actual sleep he got. And those two hours were between 7 and 9am when Ben was playing in the family room with grandma.

The Inaugural Fishing Trip

And after patiently waiting 2.33 years, Adam and Grandpa finally got to take Ben fishing. We went to a pond near Grandpa's house with lots of blue gill and bass. They pretty much had a bite every time they put a line in.

Luckily it was warm out because Ben spent most of the time in the water

'I got it! I got it!'

'Look, Mommy! Look, Mommy!'

This is where Ben took a fish for a walk - he had one on his pole and walked it down the pond to show daddy. This fish was lucky enough to get to stay in the water while Ben took him for a walk. The second time he did it, the poor fish was out of the water for a minute or two before we could get the pole away from Ben.

Daddy caught a bass
Ben was a complete dirtball by the time we were ready to leave. He had to get a baptism in the pond before we could get in the car.

This video is hilarious. Makes me laugh everytime

He did not smack me with the fish, but he did get daddy square on the back

A kiss for a fish

And Ben loved his first time fishing!

Filled To The Gills

And the day has come when the Outlook is not big enough. For a weekend trip to grandma and grandpa's, we had the car completely packed. Poor Monster barely had any room. Though, Adam had packed camping stuff, so that was some extra stuff we normally wouldn't have.
