Ridin' Big Boy Style

Nick has been riding big boy style in the stroller the last couple of days on our walk. With it being warmer, I wanted to give him a bit more air and room than he has in the car seat. He actually stayed awake for the first half of the walk and was laughing and smiling at me, but he's always out by the time we stop to feed the fish.

I'm Cool Like That

Nick hanging out in the Moby wrap while Ben played outside yesterday. Sunglasses were required because we wouldn't want the bright sun to disturb his beauty sleep.

Those Silly Bears

Ben's favorite show right now is Berenstain Bears. He has started to understand the funny parts of the show and laughs hysterically. It's amazing to me that the show holds his interest so much. It's kind of nice when I'm feeding Nick for him to be so well entertained and stay out of trouble.

This Way and That

Roll'n this way and that. Not quite all the way over yet, but he sure can swing his bum in the air!

Bullseye!

First a little spit-up all over daddy

And then while he's cleaning that up, a nice poop
Well at least mommy found it hilarious!

Sand & Golf, But Not Together

The weather was perfect today, so in the morning we went outside to play. First Ben played a little golf, then he bubble mowed the lawn, then he moved sand around the yard in buckets that kept spilling everywhere then he played soccer, then he chased Monster, then he played golf again, then he played in the sandbox again... You get the idea.

Can You Find Ben?

Hidden among all the blankets and bears? And yet with all those blankets he never actually has one on himself - he just sleeps on top of them. I put his nee-nee on him before taking this picture. After a long day, sometimes sleeping 2 years olds are the best kind of 2 year olds

My Favorite Place

Nick's favorite place to be is in his Moby wrap, all snuggly up to mommy. A lot of times I have him in the 'kangaroo pouch' position where he kind of hangs his arm out the side.

Go Go Gadget Legs!

Trips to the Zoo

We recently have made a couple of trips to the zoo. On Saturday we went to see the fish and the 'baby elephant'. One of the elephants is currently pregnant and due soon. Hopefully everything will go well because it would be really cool to have a baby elephant at the zoo again! Louie, the current 'baby' is going to be 8 this month!

Nemo - Ben runs straight for this everytime we go in the aquarium

Pretty jelly fish

A silly monkey looking at the silly monkeys

The elephant (I think this is the pregnant one)

And then today we went to the zoo with Cameryn, Tiffany and Lindsey. It was again a cool and rainy-ish day, but I have decided these are the best days to go. The kids had a lot of fun in the aquarium and looking at the monkeys and apes before heading over to Nature's Neighborhood where they had lots of fun with the face paints and playing catch me in the tunnel

And Nick, well, his first two visits to the zoo were not that exciting. So far he has found the zoo a great place to take a nap.

Fun Toys

Here is Nick playing with his toys while Ben is eating lunch. Nick seems to enjoy his time with his toys more when Ben is incapacitated or not home. Hmmm, wonder why. I left the awesome conversation between Ben and I on here so everyone can enjoy the 'no way, no way' I get all day long and the joys of a tired 2 year old.

Not Your Next American Idol

Let's be honest, no one in this household will ever be auditioning for American Idol. [This is for audio purposes only.]

A New Kind of Seat Belt

We all went to Sidecut yesterday for a walk. It was the first time with both kids and Monster in the car. Monster sat in the back on the way to the park. After our walk, Monster did not want to sit in the back again, and decided that Ben's lap was a much better choice. Ben thought it was funny for about 30 seconds and then did not like it. Adam pulled Monster off and made her sit between the seats on the ride home (she jumped up on Ben before I had even turned on the car).

So Much for Tummy Time

I tried doing tummy time with Nick the other day, but after about 2 minutes, he was sound asleep with his thumb in his mouth
