All Aboard!

All Aboard!! Cameryn got Ben this super cute conductor play outfit for his birthday. It came with a train whistle which Ben loves and Monster does not, a walkie talkie, hat, bandana and pocket watch. Thank you, Cameryn! :)

I Didn't Do It!

I didn't do it! Adam did! Ben needed a hair cut and I was just going to trim it up and take off a little length. Well Adam got a hold of the clippers and just kept taking the attachment shorter and shorter!

Mr Potato Head

DSack came over for a visit today and to help Ben celebrate his birthday, Rachel made some yummy cupcakes! Dan and Rachel were super nice and gave Ben a Mr Potato Head for his birthday. It was quite the hit. Ben is very partial to his glasses and the fact that his parts are stored in his tummy.

If Only It Really Worked

If only Ben's vacuum actually worked...He is very adamant about helping to vacuum.

Preparing for Mardi Gras

We have a little while yet before Mardi Gras, but Ben wanted to make sure he was well prepared.

The Sweet New Ride

Ben modeling his sweet new ride. I just got the car seat adapter and wanted to make sure it worked ok. Plus it caused me to dig out the car seat and realize it needed washing. This baby's eviction notice is quickly approaching, so time to start getting the baby stuff out again.

Along with 2 Comes the Tantrums

So Ben's age is finally catching up with him. Last night Ben got upset because we wouldn't let him sit in our laps while we ate dinner. And he didn't want to sit in his own seat, so he decided to throw a tantrum. It was pretty amusing. After about 3 minutes he forgot why he was so upset and just cried and screamed. He found his blankies, lied down on the kitchen floor and cried and cried for about 15 minutes, until Adam and I were done with dinner. It was pretty hard not to laugh at him. Then, just like the flip of a switch, he got up and started talking to us about animals and Monster and carrying on like nothing had happened. Yup, gotta love the 2 year old.

The Train Table

We finally broke out the train table today. Ben and Cameryn used it last night as a table to play at and eat cheese (much to Monster's dismay since they had previously been spilling cheese all over the floor). Today I took off the table top and installed the train parts. It came with a motorized train, which Ben loves, but he's also happy pushing his other cars around in it. Unfortunately his Chuck trucks don't quite fit in the track, but his matchbox cars do.

Yes, We're Cool And We Know It

Goofing Around

Ben playing around the house the other night. His favorite toy, his Tucks plunger, has many uses. Here it is a spy glass and horn. Normally it is also used as a ball catch game, a sword and a weapon against Monster. Thus it gets taken away from him a lot.

Swimming Like a Fishy

It's time for another fun filled swim class session! This time, our class if full of friends, including Cameryn and Lily! In yesterday's class Ben was again doing things his way. Sometimes he would jump off the wall before everyone else, other times he wouldn't jump in at all and other times he wouldn't get out of the water to sit on the wall. But it's very safe to say he is more than comfortable in the water.

Color Explosion Glow Dome

Great Grandma Yuskales got Ben a Color Explosion Glow Dome for Christmas. I had it still sitting in the box in Ben's room when he saw it yesterday and decided he really wanted to play with it. So, since I was doing work at the table, I decided to let him play with it. He loved coloring on the dome and the plastic plate. Then I took him into the bathroom to show him how it lights up. That was pretty cool, but when it started spinning, well that was thee most awesome thing ever to Ben! Thankfully, it has a wonderfully hidden on/off switch that Ben hasn't discovered yet, so the spinning can be kept to a minimum.

I Think They Lost Their Way

Totally random - we were at Best Buy the other day and there was this HUGE flock of ducks in the parking lot! They were just walking around and then would lie down. These pictures don't even show half of the ducks that were in the parking lot. Several cars almost hit them and a few were stuck in their spots, waiting for the ducks to move. Things like this are the reason I always have a camera on me!

A Wolny Christmas/New Year's

Our last Christmas celebration was actually celebrated on New Year's Day at Adam's parents. Ben got a new train table, a Leap Frog Tag Junior (which he just somehow knew how to use and knew exactly which books to use it with...), a fishing pole set and a new big wheel! He's still a little on the small side for the big wheel, but that isn't stopping him! We put it in the basement play room for him and he loves scooting around the basement on it. And of course, he had to put on the matching sunglasses for us!
