What Comes After 1??

Trains, Noses and Ears

Trains go woo-woo, noses go beep beep and fingers go in ears

East Harbor, Lake Erie

We went for a little road trip over to East Harbor on the lake this weekend. Ben was a little timid around the water at first, but got over that very quickly.

Will Work for Food

We've decided Ben is ready to get his first job - watering plants. He will work for pizza, bananas, PB & J, animal crackers and scrambled eggs. He is very dedicated to watering plants and tends to throw a fit when he has to stop.

Just Add Water

Grandma Balyeat came up to spend the week with Ben while our sitter was on vacation. Ben and Grandma spent the majority of the week outside playing with the hose and the garden scooter.

Sippy Cups are for Babies!

Ben is all about drinking out of regular cups now. Though, he's only allowed to do so outside. He does really well drinking out of the cup, but is still learning the whole don't over tip the cup. He ended up with most of the water on himself.

Perrysburg Fireworks

We rode our bikes to the Perrysburg fireworks last night. Ben had a good time running around Fort Meigs and playing with his glow necklace. He liked the fireworks a lot and clapped when they started the finale of the show.

The Garden Hose

Ben really likes the garden hose and sprinkler. He takes the hose out of the holder, winds it back in. He tries to water the plants and his belly and his head.

Swimming With Cameryn

Ben and Cameryn went swimming at the Perrysburg pool yesterday. They had a lot of fun in the zero entry pool, which really is perfect for toddlers. They played catch, or chase, with the water toys and jumped off the wall into the pool and tried to climb the stairs to the big water slide, but did not succeed.

I'll Just Help Myself

So Ben decided he was hungry before going to bed this evening. So what did he do? He went into the kitchen, opened the pretzel/bread drawer, got out the pretzels and helped himself to probably a dozen pretzels. Guess it's time to put a lock on that drawer...

Had to get the other stuff out of the way so he could get to the pretzels

Where Sticks Belong

Ben really likes sticks. Now he has finally figured out that they go in the yard waste bag. The other day he picked up a stick and walked all the way to the other side of the house to put it in the bag.

Do Not Disturb

Naked cowboy here after the pool. I forgot to bring a change of clothes so he rode home in a diaper. And then fell asleep. He ended up taking a 3 hour nap. He was a tired little boy.

Pool Man

Another trip to the Perrysburg pool. Ben really likes going to the pool and is getting very independent about walking into the water by himself and playing with the other kids.

I *Heart* My Foot Stool

Ben really likes the gliding foot stool. He stands next to it, lays on it, climbs on it, rocks it, knocks it over...There's always something fun to do with the gliding footstool

He's No Brazilian Samba Dancing Baby - Yet

Well, he's no Brazilian samba dancing baby (search for brazilian samba dancing baby on youtube), but he's working on his moves!
