Yard Work

As the weather gets nicer, Ben refuses to be indoors. He points out the windows and doors and says 'side, side' (we constant say Let Monster outside, so he learned the word a while ago). Friday night we let him help with the yard work.

First, he had to check that there was enough bubbles in the bubble mower

So that he could bubble mow the yard He picked up sticks
He helped stack wood
He swept the sidewalks (he even requested the broom off the wall of the garage)

And of course ran circles around the backyard and the front yard and the side yard and the driveway and then back to the backyard again, and so on and so on...

Scoot-Scoot

Ben has finally grown enough to fully use his scoot-scoot (best $5 I ever spent at a garage sale!). He likes to push it around, sit on it, put stuff into the seat, terrorize Monster with it...

Catching Up On Current Events

Ben was a little behind on the times, so he decided to get all caught up at once.

St. Patrick's Day Parade!

Ben and I headed down to New Orleans this weekend for a visit with Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Sarah. It just also happened to be the St. Patrick's Day Parade! Ben had a very good time. We started the parade out at Doug's house, where Ben kept trying to escape out the front door

Ben's first catch, a plastic crab

Walking the yellow line on Magazine with Aunt Sarah

In addition to beads, etc. they also throw cabbage, carrots, potatoes, onions and Moon pies. I saw a lot of flying cabbage today.

And Irish Spring soap - gotta keep clean!

Oh, parading is such a tiring job...one exhausted little boy!

A New Favorite Picture

The Hair Says it All

Ben woke up this morning with a unique and fitting hair style. The pictures don't really do it justice, but it really does look like devil's horns.

Stack 'Em Up

Now I Get It

Monster has finally discovered the many benefits of Ben. Number one being he feeds her food. We are in the midst of learning that once you offer the food to Monster, it is her's and you can't take it back. Monster is very, very good and never 'takes' food from Ben, but she definitely keeps very close when he does have food and is more than willing to gently take what is offered.

Who Knew A Door Could Be So Much Fun

Cameryn came over to play for a little bit yesterday. She and Ben had a good time playing open and close with the door. According to Sharon, these two play and play and play all day together at day care.
