Now I Get It
Monster has finally discovered the many benefits of Ben. Number one being he feeds her food. We are in the midst of learning that once you offer the food to Monster, it is her's and you can't take it back. Monster is very, very good and never 'takes' food from Ben, but she definitely keeps very close when he does have food and is more than willing to gently take what is offered.
Who Knew A Door Could Be So Much Fun
Cameryn came over to play for a little bit yesterday. She and Ben had a good time playing open and close with the door. According to Sharon, these two play and play and play all day together at day care.

Children - Hazardous to your health
Kids are hazardous to your health. Ben busted up my nose this weekend - clocking me square on the bridge of my nose with a hard plastic cup. Luckily, I doubt it's broken and I did not end up with two black eyes. Just a big bruise and bump.

Suuupperrrr Daddy!
And to think, a year ago, Adam was nervous to just hold Ben. Now he's holding both big babies!

My Most Favorite Remote
Awww, Ben giving his favorite remote a hug. Unfortunately his favorite remote is also the main TV controller, and searching for it all over the house is really fun for Adam and I.
The Carnage
The carnage of the toy box. Not a single toy left in the basket. Even the basket was demolished and flattened.

More Chair Antics
Ben loves playing in his chair. He likes to use it as a toy, a step ladder and an acrobatic device (flipping over the back). Please excuse the un-done up pants - someone wouldn't sit still long enough to have his jammies done up.

A Thump-a-Thump
I thought this was kind of cool to share. It is an ultrasound of Ben's heart. He had an echocardiogram done last week after the doctor heard an unusual heartbeat at this 12 month check up. The diagonis is bicuspid aoritc valve, which is nothing serious, just something to be aware of and to keep an eye on (kind of the same thing as my mitral valve prolapse). But here is a little video of Ben's heart thump-a-thumping.

Start 'em Young
Ben is learning how to shovel at an early age. He learned the basics very quickly in a brief lesson from daddy this evening. We expect him to be fully up to speed by tomorrow morning when he will need to dig us out of our house.
