They Dont' Call Them Elk (as in deer) Hounds for Nothing

A deer crossed our path at Side Cut, and stayed on it for a long time, much to Monster's frustration. And then, after we finally moved past the deer, we say another elkhound at the park!!

Happy Birthday, Grandma B!

Grandma B came for a visit this weekend. We got to see almost all of mommy's aunts and uncles and cousin Rachel! It was a fun visit and we'll get to see her again in a few weeks when we go to New Orleans!

Climbing to New Heights

So, somehow, Ben just knows how to climb steps. And he's fast at it, too. Before I had the gate up, he was up 3 steps in honestly 10 seconds.

The View From Up Here

Ben has a new hang out at dinner time when he gets a case of the 'mommy hold me's' and when we go for walks with Monster. So far he is enjoying the view and having a good time. He's even getting better and not messing with my hair (he's a bit of a hair puller).

For Labor Day weekend, we took a trip to Bristol, Connecticut to see Adam's family. Ben was on super good behavior and had a great time seeing everyone!

Ben has now discovered the door and the concept of 'outside'. I never thought I'd be happy about the sliding door being difficult to open, but I think I am now!

Having More Fun On the Walker, Not In It

I think Ben has more fun playing on his walker than in it. He almost spilled head first into the seat at one point. I don't know what he was doing, but it looked like he was trying to climb into the walker.
