Toledo Botanical Gardens

We went over to the botanical gardens today to check it out and take some pictures. Having never really walked all the way around the botanical gardens, I was surprised at how nice it is! A great place to practice photography. And of course my favorite model did not disappoint :)

Perrysburg Pool

We finally made it to the Perrysburg pool yesterday. It has a zero entry, which is perfect for Ben. And then Ben discovered how to walk in the water. We put him in his floatie and he was motoring all over, just like his does in his walker now. He was watching all the other kids (babe watching) and the various waterfalls in the pool.

6 Months!

Ben is 6 months and a week now! Time flies. He is really starting to pick up the speed on crawling. He can go from crawling to sitting now. He is still working out the arm portion of crawling, but gets around doing 'the worm' just fine. He's still a peanut, but that's ok. He just burns too many calories from never staying still. And of course the teeth. I can't wait for his teeth to finally come through.

The Zoo!

Last night Mr Donald and Miss Elaine invited us to the zoo for a special event for members. It was Ben's first trip to the zoo and it was a blast! We rode the African train, the merry-go-round, and checked out the awesome new kids exibit where we played with the goats, played in the stream and the beach and the forest. Ben even hatched from an egg! It's a really cool exibit and a lot of fun for the parents and kids! Thanks for a fun evening, Mr Donald and Miss Elaine!

Who Needs Toys When You Have a Basket?

Ben was all about his basket last night. He was having a good 'ol time playing with is basket over his head. I think he's a 'box' kid. Doesn't care what comes in the box, just wants the box.

Hanging out in the Backyard

After dinner (and the teething biscut) we were playing in the backyard because it was such a beautiful day. After sniffing him, Monster even did a 'come play with me' crouch and bark at Ben! Eariler in the day, Ben did grab Monster's paw when she wasn't paying attention. She didn't notice, but a few minutes later assessed Ben's position as too close and got up and walked to the other side of the coffee table.

That's Sick, Chubbs

As Aunt Sarah would say... We cannot eat dinner without Ben demanding something to eat himself, now, so we tried a teething biscut. The result was pretty nasty, but we all ate dinner together :)

Ben and His Monster

Ben loves his Monster. She is the funniest thing he has ever seen. He just watches her all day and just laughs and laughs at her playing with her toys and running around the yard. Unfortunately, Monster does not return the setiment. She will occasionally come over and sniff him, but he is not allowed to touch her. She normally will not go near him, just completely ignores him like he's not there. They cohabitate fine in the living room with his and her play areas, but there is no mingling on Monster's part. Hopefully she will get over it at some point because Ben is already plotting how to chase her around the house.
