After dinner (and the teething biscut) we were playing in the backyard because it was such a beautiful day. After sniffing him, Monster even did a 'come play with me' crouch and bark at Ben! Eariler in the day, Ben did grab Monster's paw when she wasn't paying attention. She didn't notice, but a few minutes later assessed Ben's position as too close and got up and walked to the other side of the coffee table.

That's Sick, Chubbs
As Aunt Sarah would say... We cannot eat dinner without Ben demanding something to eat himself, now, so we tried a teething biscut. The result was pretty nasty, but we all ate dinner together :)

Ben and His Monster
Ben loves his Monster. She is the funniest thing he has ever seen. He just watches her all day and just laughs and laughs at her playing with her toys and running around the yard. Unfortunately, Monster does not return the setiment. She will occasionally come over and sniff him, but he is not allowed to touch her. She normally will not go near him, just completely ignores him like he's not there. They cohabitate fine in the living room with his and her play areas, but there is no mingling on Monster's part. Hopefully she will get over it at some point because Ben is already plotting how to chase her around the house.
A New View
Now that Ben is starting to sit up, he has a whole new view of things. And he has discovered the art of pulling grass out of the ground...
Baby Workout
Ben's new exercise routine -- sitting, crunches, planks and push ups. Gotta strengthen those muscules for crawling!

The Beach! Fishing
While Ben and Grandma B hung out together, the rest of us when fishing for red snapper in the gulf. It was quite the trip. Adam caught some big fish that gave him a good fight to get on the boat. Everyone caught a fish, most of them pretty good size!

The Beach! LuLu's
LuLu's is a GREAT place! It is owned by Lucy Buffet, sister of Jimmy. It was the best hour and 45 minute wait for a table I have ever experienced. We played in the sand, drank margaritas, played corn hole, contemplated getting our hair wrapped and watched the boats on the intercoastal. Ben took a little snooze while listening to the band (he really enjoyed the band, he fell asleep to them at Tacky Jack's earlier in the week). Then tried to take a hit off Daddy's beer and spilled Mommy's margarita all over the table.

The Beach! Ben's First Boat Ride
For Ben's first trip on a boat, we rented a pontoon boat and motored around the bays looking at the houses and dolphins and then beached on an island for a little swimming. Ben really really liked the boat...He is very sad he doesn't have one of his own....

The Beach! Ben's First Trip to the Ocean
Ben's first experience with the gulf. Even though the waves were really small, he was a little unsure about them crashing. But he seemed to like the taste of salt water on my shoulder. He kept gumming my shoulder.

The Beach! Ben's First Trip to the Pool
We went to Orange Beach, Alabama last week with Grandma and Grandpa B and Aunt Sarah. It was a great week and full of a lot of firsts for Ben. Here is his first trip to the pool. He seemed to enjoy it and liked looking at the water. Grandpa B called him Jacques Cousteau in his swim outfit. I thought he looked cute in is swim trunk and rash guard and hat and sunglasses!
