Ben has been asking to go to the zoo for almost two weeks now. I got a game on the iPod, Curious George goes to the Zoo, and ever since, he's been asking to go to the zoo. So, today while Nick was sleeping, just Ben and I went to the zoo. It was actually quite awesome. We just hopped in the car with no prepping, I only took my purse - no stroller, no snacks, nothing - and we were on our way! It was supposed to be a quick trip, but we ended up staying for about 2.5 hours. We tried to see the baby lemurs, but they were hiding under their sleeping mommies. We did see Louie, who celebrated his 9th birthday this weekend, and Baby Lucas who will be turning 1 in June. And because it was just Ben and I, I let him ride the African Savanna train. It was really the first time he's rode it. We got to see the baby giraffe and some other African animals. This was also the first time Ben has asked to have his picture taken on the statues. He was all about it with the turtle! While we were walking around the zoo, Ben told me I was the best mommy. Aww, what a suck up :)

Cul de Sac Playtime
Ben is totally obsessed with the family two houses down. They have 3 kids: Brianna (8), Brittany (7) and Benjamin (1.5). And according to Ben, they have thee best toys. Including a power wheels jeep. Ben is a terrible driver, and I freak out every time he drives. He ran into a tree, almost hit a car, almost ran over Brianna...he's a maniac who doesn't understand how to steer! At least I make him ride his bike over to their house, so he is usually wearing his helmet when he is driving or riding in the jeep.
And now Nicholas is getting in on the action. Grrrreeeeeaaatttt
Let's hope he will be a better driver than his brother.
They are cute, but boy are they trouble!!
Wolny Family Fun
Monday night we had dinner with Ciotka Lily and Joe and their doggies Diva and Truffles. The boys had a lot of fun playing on their piano. It took Ben a bit to warm up to the dogs, but once he did, he enjoyed petting them. We all had a great time seeing them!
Yuskales Family Fun
Last Sunday we spend the afternoon at the Pierce's house with Great Grandma, Aunties Gwen and Ann, Bill, David, Erin and Lauren. Auntie Ann borrowed some toys from the neighbor, so the boys had lots of toys to play with. But Nick, he just wanted to play in the dog crates.
Ben was soooooo tired. We put a movie in before dinner, and Ben was out cold on the couch within minutes. He slept through dinner.
Rosie, modeling her bling and doggles. What a pretty puppy!
Playing in Rosie's fancy crate...Had to try them both out

They Will Find A Way
'Oh no, mommy, we are just giving each other a hug. We aren't fight clubbing or anything.'
MmmmmmmHmmmmmm... They will find a way to wrestle anywhere.
"Camping" Little Boy Style
Great Grandma dug out a tent for the boys to play in. They 'went camping' and played in it most of Saturday afternoon.
And of course it was a great venue for fight club.
Little Cheekers and Buggy
My nickname for Nick is Cheekers. His cheeks almost put Aunt Sarah's to shame, but they are not bigger than his forehead yet, so Aunt Sarah is still the cheek winner. And I still sometimes call Ben Bugga-boo, or Buggy for short.
Gardening at Great Grandma's
The boys 'helped' Grandma with some gardening around the yard. Read: They dug some unnecessary and slightly dangerous holes and tore apart garden decorations. But they were having fun playing outside.
