The kids had a water balloon fight with colored water. Other than the point blank face hits, it was pretty entertaining.

A Little Memorial Day Parade
Ben and Adam walked in the Perrysburg Memorial day parade. Nick and I opted to watch from afar. We were at the very end of the not well defined parade route (these people obviously lack some Blane Kern parade organization) and didn't get to see the scouts because they stopped parading right before they got to us. We did see the beginning and the Shriner's crazy little cars, though.
A New Pool
Adam bought the boys a new pool for the summer. Complete with cup holders. And a bench seat. You know, for the kids... They put a hole in the side after the first use (no more slide into the pool) but Adam was able to fix it up.

Last Day of First Grade
Sad. It was a good year for First Grade. Some highlights:
- Ben started off the year at a 1st grade, first month ready level and ended at a 2nd grade fifth month level.
- He cried about not having enough math homework so we started out the summer learning multiplication.
- He started out the school year in a size 3.5 shoe and ended in a size 5.

Cub Scout Cross Over Camp
Ben's Cub Scout Pack had their annual cross over camp at Camp Miakonda. Adam took both boys to camp overnight Friday and the ceremony was Saturday evening (yes, you read that right, I had a whole night and day to myself!). The boys had a great time during their cross over, playing games, singing songs, a little ceremony. We even had a bald eagle fly over during the ceremony (sorry, no picture). Ben is now officially a Wolf Cub Scout.

Beautiful Butterflies
Our original destination for our last Mommy and Nick day was actually the butterfly house. But, when we originally pulled up at 11am, there were zero parking spots and about 100 kids on site, so we decided to kill some time at Oak Openings and then try the butterfly house again. It was a good plan, all around. Nick and I got there just after the 85, not 100, school kids left, and had the whole place to ourselves. And no one threw up this time (unlike the last time we tried to go). Nick and I enjoyed some quiet time with the pretty butterflies.
Last Mommy and Nick Day
It was Nick and I's last mommy and Nick day :( I was sad. We celebrated by going to Oak Openings and doing an impromptu photo shoot to commemorate the day. It was actually Nick's idea to take pictures. And he set up several of the shots. We had to get creative because I hadn't brought a tripod.
