A Bike'n Machine

Nick loves to get on the tricycles and ride or Flinestone them around the driveway. He also pushes them. The other day I caught him 3 houses down!

A Rough Day at T-Ball

It was a rough day at T-ball. Ben just wasn't that into it and it was a long time before they started playing because it was picture day. Ben practiced a little batting before the game started, but once the game started, he didn't want to play anymore. We coxed him to play half an inning fielding, but then he just wanted to sit with us. He also took one turn at bat, but not before we had an incident. Ben was sitting waiting his turn to bat, and saw a ball and got up to get it. But didn't see the batter running at him and had a major collision. That was pretty much the end of the game for Ben. We got him to bat, but I had to hold his hand while he was on base and running the bases. And then he was done. We didn't stay for the second inning. Hopefully he will be into it again after vacation.

A pep talk before the game
 The pre-game player oath
Ben's first and only time fielding today

A little consoling after the collision from the coach. He was pretty upset and needed mommy to help calm down

A New Fort

The boys and I made a "fort" of sorts with some netting an the swing set. It was big fun!

The First Harvest

The boys picking and enjoying the first harvest of the garden.

A Third Stroller Seat

Nick found a new seat in the stroller. He thought it was pretty cozy. The exit was a little tricky, though

Let's Hear It For the BBL

Ahhh, the infamous BBL (big bottom lip). One of these days his face is going to get stuck like that.

Some Pictures at the Botanical Gardens

While at the Botinical Gardens for the art show, we took a little break in the shade and of course I had my camera with me...

It is impossible for me to get a good picture of Ben these days.

Nick, on the other hand, I can get pictures of all day long.
And what is this? A picture with mommy!
And I would just like to say, I love Photoshop. A 'lil bit of this, lil bit of that, and ta da! Can't tell that I have on no makeup and was all red and nasty from being in the hot sun at 2pm!

Hanging Out With Cousin Eva

This weekend we also got a visit from cousin Eva! She came to our house with Grandma and Dziadziu and of course her mommy and daddy (Andrea and Kevin). We all went to the Crosby Gardens Art Festival. Ben was very interested in her, like he is with the little babies at daycare.
Nick was ok hanging out with Eeyore and Grandma.
Ben even asked to hold her. He was also very aware of every time she got upset and was cooing at her all afternoon.

Then we went for the gold - all three in one picture together! Here Ben explains Eva to Nick.
And we did it! All 3 in one picture and looking at the camera! Too bad I had a high aperture so Ben is a little out of focus...Oh well

Born To Ride!

Nick likes to ride the big wheel, even though he's a little small for it. He Fred Flinstones it though, and gets around pretty well. I just think he looks so funny on it - like one of those big chopper motorcycles with your arms above your head.

Had to take a little break after all that riding. Whew, that's a lot of work!

Play Date With the Phibbs Brothers

Friday morning Alex and Luke came to our house for a play date. It has been quite a while since we have seen them, but Ben definitely remembered them and was very excited for them to come to our house. It was a beautiful day, so we played outside all morning. They had a good time playing on the swingset and in the sand box and watching the sprinkler. Then I brought out the bubbles, and the real fun began. All three (Nick was taking a nap) had a great time playing with the bubbles, especially the Thomas bubble maker.

As soon as Thomas stopped producing a sufficient amount of bubbles, the boys had to put more in him.
It was a team effort

A pile of the bubbles they killed.
Then Ben got Thomas working really well and the boys had a bubble stomping contest. (notice how all the boys are covered in bubbles)
