It's Never Too Early!

To start good dental hygiene habits ;) Ben really likes the new Crest sprinbrush I got him. It's a fun toy, but he knows to put it against his teeth and move it around. He just gets really mad when I take it away.

Learning to Climb a Tree

Well, kind of. Adam had the big ash tree in our yard cut down last week. It had the bore, so it was pretty much dead and had a large crack in it.

Monster's Rope

Monster's one favorite outside toy is her rope. She and Ben have gotten really good a playing with it together. Ben chases her around, she drops it, he picks it up and she comes and takes it away from him again. Even though Monster likes to do her hammer throw circles, she has never hit Ben with her rope. She always drops it if he gets too close. Ben, however, has swung and it hit Monster a few times with the ball.

Yard Work

As the weather gets nicer, Ben refuses to be indoors. He points out the windows and doors and says 'side, side' (we constant say Let Monster outside, so he learned the word a while ago). Friday night we let him help with the yard work.

First, he had to check that there was enough bubbles in the bubble mower

So that he could bubble mow the yard He picked up sticks
He helped stack wood
He swept the sidewalks (he even requested the broom off the wall of the garage)

And of course ran circles around the backyard and the front yard and the side yard and the driveway and then back to the backyard again, and so on and so on...

Scoot-Scoot

Ben has finally grown enough to fully use his scoot-scoot (best $5 I ever spent at a garage sale!). He likes to push it around, sit on it, put stuff into the seat, terrorize Monster with it...

Catching Up On Current Events

Ben was a little behind on the times, so he decided to get all caught up at once.

St. Patrick's Day Parade!

Ben and I headed down to New Orleans this weekend for a visit with Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Sarah. It just also happened to be the St. Patrick's Day Parade! Ben had a very good time. We started the parade out at Doug's house, where Ben kept trying to escape out the front door

Ben's first catch, a plastic crab

Walking the yellow line on Magazine with Aunt Sarah

In addition to beads, etc. they also throw cabbage, carrots, potatoes, onions and Moon pies. I saw a lot of flying cabbage today.

And Irish Spring soap - gotta keep clean!

Oh, parading is such a tiring job...one exhausted little boy!

The Hair Says it All

Ben woke up this morning with a unique and fitting hair style. The pictures don't really do it justice, but it really does look like devil's horns.

Daddy Day at Swim Class

It was daddy day at swim class today. Out of 11 kids, there were only 2 moms in the pool!
